Airport Options
If you are flying to CA for the wedding, first of all, THANK YOU! We appreciate everyone traveling, near and far, to be with us throughout this special weekend. There are several options to consider depending on your timing, flight availability and desire to see other parts of California. Monterey Regional Airport is a small airport a few miles from Carmel and Pebble Beach. Flights may be somewhat limited, but it is the closest airport to the festivities. San Jose International Airport is roughly 1 ½ hours from Carmel. Great option for those whom want to head directly south to the wedding activities. San Francisco International Airport is roughly 2 hours from Carmel and would be the airport to fly into for those wanting to see San Francisco or wine country (about 1+ hour north). Oakland Int'l l Airport is also 2 hours away from Carmel and another option for those wanting to see SF or Napa, etc. Oakland is a smaller airport than SFO, and may not have as many flight options.

With all the wedding festivities either taking place in Carmel or Pebble Beach area, we have a few hotel suggestions but there are so many charming boutique hotels, B&Bs and funky little Inns in Carmel that it’s hard to choose which ones to suggest so we are listing here, those that have given us some sort of discount. VRBOs are not allowed in Carmel by the Sea if rented for less than a month, and therefore we suggest if you want to stay in a VRBO, you look into the Pebble Beach area. Further away but still an option are Pacific Grove, Monterey, and Carmel Valley (all of these areas are more of a drive to the wedding activities and you may find them too far from the action!).

CARMEL The Hideaway & The Getaway are boutique hotels owned by same company, both walking distance to Ocean Ave (restaurants, shops etc) & Carmel beach. Rate includes a 20% discount, inclusive of breakfast & evening wine/cheese. Blocks under Holden/Barr-rooms are first come/first serve. The Colonial Terrace A boutique hotel 72 steps from the beach. Call directly for reservations, as there are no room blocks assigned. La Playa Hotel Steps from the beach, & a short walk to Ocean Ave. The property is rather expansive by Carmel standards-patios, gardens, & pool. Considered more luxurious-we have 10% off. PEBBLE BEACH The Inn at Spanish Bay & the Lodge at Pebble Beach are incredible, very close to the ceremony/reception & 10 min drive to Carmel. Not surprisingly, these grand hotels come with a grand price. May be bucket list item! MONTEREY Intercontinental Clement is a waterfront resort along Cannery Row in Monterey. Rooms under Holden/Barr starting at $299, but a drive from Carmel.
