Hiking on Stratton

Hiking on Stratton

Stratton, VT 05155

Explore Vermont with scores of hikes on the mountain and in the surrounding area. A favorite activity to take the Gondola to the top of the mountain, and walk the .75 mile “beginner” route from the top of the gondola to the Stratton fire tower. Manned until 1979 and one of just a handful left in Vermont; the fire tower will reward you with a view that stretches clear across four states and mountain ranges.

Hike the Jamaica State Park

Hike the Jamaica State Park

48 Salmon Hole Lane, Jamaica, VT 05343
, (802) 874-4600

For a longer walk/hike activity, check out the Jamaica State Park, about a 15 minute drive from Stratton. For a flat hike, you can walk out and back as far as you want along the path that runs along the West River. If you want something a bit more challenging, you can take the marked hiking path up to Hamilton Falls (about 1 mile into the park) to see the waterfall! This hike takes 1.5-2 hours round trip.

Golfing at the Stratton Golf Course

Golfing at the Stratton Golf Course

251 Stratton Mountain Road, Winhall, VT 05155
, (800) 787-2886

“The golf is superb at this all-inclusive resort, which boasts a scenic and challenging championship 27-hole course that played host to six LPGA tournaments. The Forest, Lake and Mountain all have their own charm and danger, and are designed to be playable for any level golfer.” – Golf Magazine Click the link for Daily Rates & Tee Times Info!
