We first met freshman year in high school in Mrs. Waters English class, and it was aggravation at first sight. Joey and I just had mutual feeling that whatever we could to piss the other off was well within grounds during class. Of note, stapling his finger while he tried to get it unjammed... or when he would walk by my desk and just push everything off. That blossomed into a friendship like no other where we would talk all night on Facebook after school and practices. The beginning conversations still pop on the Facebook memories and it is also so comical to go back and read through them. After a year and a half of being friends/best friends and a failed attempt at going out (I dumped him over Facebook ironically), I answered "I guess" to a second-first date at a hole in the wall pizza joint - Pizza Plus. Joey managed the rare feet of arriving 45 minutes late and somehow receiving a first-second date. His reasoning was of course a baseball practice running over. Little did I know how much baseball would be a part of our life after that night. We ended up closing the restaurant down. As employees began stacking chairs around us, we continued our evening on the curb out front. The rest? History. It has been us against the world ever since, We've grown immensely as both individuals and a couple over the last 10 years, more than either of us could probably ever image; and we couldn't imagine life without the other. We are thrilled to spend a day celebrating our wedding and even more excited to share the moment with each of you. Thank you so much for helping us make this day one to remember.
