The dress code is black-tie preferred. If you don't have easy access to a tuxedo or a floor-length gown, a nice cocktail dress or a suit is perfectly acceptable!
To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the reception
While we are not providing transportation to the ceremony, we will be providing transportation from our reception back to downtown Charleston so that you may fully partake in the open bar safely! You can easily access Ubers from all areas of Charleston to the ceremony and there will be parking available for those that wish to drive.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer it if it was just you, please!
We respectfully request that those in attendance be fully vaccinated or have a negative PCR test the day of the wedding to protect our loved ones that are nearest and dearest to us.
Yes! We have reserved a block of rooms at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District. Please see our travel/accommodations tab for our online discount code or be sure to mention that you are with the Barbara-Davis wedding if making reservations by phone.
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking all our guests to be fully present and that all phones be put away and on silent while during the ceremony. Why? Well, we've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking the moment for them to capture! After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you would like!
