We are so excited to share a few of our favorite things to do in the area. Some areas such as Thayer Street, South Main Street, and Downtown Providence have so much to do, that it is impossible to list it all! Feel free to look around and see what interests you.

Food, Bars, and Breweries

Justine's

The front may look like another lingerie shop but step into the back and you are greeted by a bar with a Speakeasy atmosphere. Parking on the street or across the street in the lot is the best places to leave your car. There is no food available here.

From shops to restaurants, Thayer Street has it all. Parking on the street itself can be tough, so if you park near Brown University or RISD, it is a short walk down to the street where it is lively with people and things to do.

RISD Museum

This is a true museum of Fine Art, and within walking distance of Thayer Street, there is something for everyone. Stop in at the museum to see works from famous artists, as well as a section dedicated to students currently enrolled at the school.

Dave & Buster's

Located in Providence Place Mall, this is a good place to go for food and drink, and of course all the games they offer. If your not looking to go to Dave and Busters, there is of course the rest of the mall for shopping. Parking is FREE for the first Two Hours.

Free Play Bar Arcade

Looking for a place to play those old school arcade games? This is the one you should stop at. From Skeeball to Pinball machines, they have it all! Old-School Galaga? Yup! Driving simulators? Its there! With a bar inside and even food available to order, this is the place to be. Admission is about $10 to get in, but once you are in all the games are free-to-play.

This one is for the kids, and kids at heart. A trampoline park with a dedicated kids area so you know your little ones can jump safely with others their own age. There is of course an area for grown-ups to jump, and it serves as a fun time and a great way to exercise. With many activities to do, this is a good way to let the kids play while you can get a break.

For those with kids, this museum is the place to stop at. With interactive exhibits and tons of learning opportunities, this museum has been an iconic stop for many in Rhode Island.

Overlook Park

Right near RISD and Brown Campus, this park is a great area to get a grand view of the entire city of Providence. It is also within walking distance to Thayer Street, and South Main which has many different restaurants and shopping options.

Providence River Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge

A wonderful walk across the river and an even better way to see the Providence skyline. A quick walk to South Main where restaurants and shopping can be found.
