It was the end of High School, and it was time to start viewing colleges. Having both chosen to go to an orientation at Rhode Island College, it was that weekend alone that they had first laid eyes upon each other. The entire weekend neither had spoken to each other, except through meaningful glances and stares. The orientation ended and both had gone their separate ways. Many months later it was the first month of school and it was only a matter of time before they had crossed paths on the campus. Finally, they exchanged their first greetings and had decided to exchange numbers and go from there. Through meeting outside of the college cafe, and finally the first date at Dave and Busters, it was there that they finally got to know each other. It was only a matter of time before, on September 23rd, they had become an official couple. Many years have passed since that time, and many meaningful life events have been endured together between the two. From concerts to traveling across the country, everything was perfect between the two. It was only a matter of time before they took the relationship a step further, and that was getting married. The original plan on Elliot's part was a vacation in Las Vegas, but due to COVID, that plan had to be put on the back burner. It wasn't until Christmas day of 2020, Elliot had wanted to go "on a walk" with Joe to celebrate the day together. Having traveled to the Stonington Burrough, it was out on the rocks by the oceanside that Elliot had gotten down on one knee and asked the most life-changing question he could. Joe, shocked it was actually happening, of course, said yes with tears of happiness streaming down his face. Shortly after, the couple decided on making the date of their wedding September 23rd, to always remember that day as the one they finally knew they had found the one who made them feel complete.
Having the goal of a wedding was a challenge first. Between COVID restrictions at the time and trying to find a venue, everything eventually worked out and they had decided to go with the Alpine Country Club to make the host of their special day. With all the vendors being handled, it was now on to more important matters. It was only a matter of deciding who would be there to support them at the altar. Joe had decided on choosing the one person who has always had their back and had always been there through the good and bad, as their Best Man, and that title is carried honorable by their long-time friend, Kyle McDonald. Elliot on the other hand knew exactly who he was going to choose. There was only one person in his life who had actually understood him and supported him as a friend would throughout the years, so Elliot decided on naming Kirstie Devine as his Best Woman. With both people being great friends to the couple, it only makes sense that they are there to support and cherish every moment with Elliot and Joe. Months before the wedding, Elliot and Joe have purchased their first house, and have been taking the time to settle in while doing some minor renovations. It has been such a pleasure to grow into a home of their own, and put their personal touch on it. All they need now is to finally exchange vows and start their new lives together in a house where they can celebrate many more years of their love for each other.
