We're getting married!

We met at our favorite cocktail bar, Sugarvale. Neither of us thought it would be anything serious, but five hours later, we were still engrossed in conversation - getting recommendations from the bartender for things to do all over Baltimore. We spent that summer checking off items from the list and pushing the boundaries of how much time two people could spend together. Highlights include reading in the park (bearing the 99' weather), playing one-on-one on the basketball court (Jess winning), eating and drinking our way through the city (always returning to Bottega's and Sugarvale), and taking advantage of the free summer festivals. We agreed this could really be something special on our way back from hiking in West Virginia.

For the proposal, Vijay wanted to recreate our West Virginia hiking trip when we agreed the relationship was special. Well, that was what he was hoping to do, but Jess may have accidentally ruined the surprise. Vijay, always agile, came up with a Plan B that centered around an intimate setting, nature, and delicious food. Although words may have failed him, Vijay didn't have to ask a thing, he just quietly slipped the ring on Jess' finger ... and we were engaged!
