Things To Do

I have not lived in Round Top since high school but it has really come a long way since then. I saw in an article once that it is now considered “the Hamptons of Texas” so do with that what you will. Here are some cool things around the area if you are looking for things to do! If you like antiques, you are about to be in the antique Mecca so throw a rock and head to whichever store you hit. For the rest of the places I have consulted my mom (Kathy) who lives there as I have not been to many.

Henkel Square Market

102 North Live Oak Street, Round Top, TX 78954

This used to be open once a year for Pioneer Day and we would learn how to churn butter, now it has been renovated into a lot of cute stores, the pie company there is famous and the chocolate chip cookie pie is the best.

Blue Mule Winery

8127 Farm to Market Road 1291, Fayetteville, TX 78940

I have not been here, but my mom loves their frozen slushy wine, she says the vibe is “rustic”

Busted Oak Cellars

6195 Round Top Road, Carmine, TX 78932

Have not been here either, but my mom says this one is “much nicer and has a better vibe” it is not as “red-neck” and has a better wine selection.

Prost On Block 29

112 Bauer Rummel, Round Top, TX 78954

According to my mom, my round top wine connoisseur, this place is more higher end, probably a little more expensive and has a very small indoor area but nice seating outside.

Paul Michael Company @Market Hill

1542 Texas 237, Round Top, TX 78954

Lots of antique shopping but also home of Duo, a delicious brunch place with unlimited mimosas. Comes highly recommended by Kathy but she warns you to “be careful with the unlimited mimosas”

Round Top Brewing & Kitchen

101 West Austin Street, Round Top, TX 78954

My sister says this is good and the food is really good. It has a high rating on google and looks cute.

The Garden Company in Round Top

104 West Wantke Street, Round Top, TX 78954

Farm to table restaurant, really good food, I HAVE been here and can confirm it’s worth going to.

The Stone Cellar & Round Top Dance Hall

550 North Washington Street, Round Top, TX 78954

A “hoity-toity” lounge (according to Kathy) and then regular food in the restaurant with live music on the weekends.

Round Top Family Library

206 West Mill Street, Round Top, TX 78954

A BEAUTIFUL library. The brought in an old church and restored it and filled it with books. It’s lovely and worth a visit.

For all the days along the way
