We met at the gym! Kelly and I (Jess) waltzed in one day to check it out and Justin was coaching. We both thought he was really nice and a great coach and signed up to be members. Justin eventually stole my number from the member information and started texting me, which was either creepy or cute we’ll go with cute, and from there something started growing. We still disagree about what our first date was, mainly because I was unclear about what it was at the time. I had many long conversations with my sister about how I felt and how we theorized he felt. Now I feel that it’s safe to say he liked me. I knew I was in trouble from the beginning, as we had a lot in common and I thought he was really witty and kind. I still feel really lucky that he likes me back.

We were on a gym camping trip with a lot of our friends, we (but mostly Justin) had not packed correctly for how cold it got at night. Somehow Justin found an adult sized Cookie Monster onesie to stay warm, which is why our proposal featured him in a fluffy blue costume. I was already pregnant and sick when a gang of kids appeared at the bathroom door demanding I walk them all back out to the fire pit. When we got there Katherine took me to “look at something really special in the lake” turns out the special thing had disappeared and when we turned around to walk back to the group Justin was there already down on one knee. I was instantly filled with joy said yes and put the most beautiful ring I have ever seen on my finger. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!!
