Jarrad and Jess met on Hinge. After a few weeks of talking, Jarrad asked Jess out to coffee (classic move). Never did they think, at Canabru Coffee in Chino, CA 2 years ago, that the Lord would surprise them. They truly got to know each other during COVID-19, where all they were able to do was talk. Never did they think that their love story would entail online dating and a global pandemic that ultimately lead to a happily ever after.

Jess is one of the hardest individuals to surprise, yet, Jarrad pulled it off. He began by asking Jess to get the weekend off of work weeks before. Jess was planning on attending a wedding on March 20th, all while Jarrad was planning the most incredible day ever. As they were walking "to the wedding venue" Jarrad began expressing to Jess how much she meant to him *we will spare you all the cheesy details* BUT it was special, and romantic. As they got to where Jarrad would propose, he said, "Jess, I lied, we aren't going to a wedding, we just haven't had a lot of time together recently, and I know you like picnics, so I packed us one." He then proceeds to pull out a blanket, champagne, and glasses, then says, "but we can't enjoy until...." which is when he pulls out a ring box. What was said/heard after this is a blur to both Jarrad and Jess, all we know is that Jarrad said "will you marry me?" and Jess said, "yes!" After that, two of Jarrad's incredible friends, Dylan and Jon, immerge from their respective hiding spots and take photos/videos of the happy couple. If you ask Jess, she will say, "this is my second favorite day, the first place spot is reserved for October 23 when I get to marry my best friend." Jarrad and Jess are looking forward to continuing their love story divinely ordained by Jesus Christ.
