Maid of Honor
Bridget and Marisa met in 2007 while both attending Colorado State University. Their friendship developed through mutual interests in swimming, boy bands, and Zac Efron. They became roommates for the 2008-2009 school year, lived across the street from each other 2009-2010 and became roommates again in 2011. Because of their long history of being roommates, they affectionately call each other "Rooms". Since college, they have maintained their friendship despite Bridget moving back to Salt Lake City. They make it a priority to see each other at least once per year usually by way of triathalon or a concert featuring a current or former boy band member. Bridget and Marisa are looking forward to future couples trips. Jesse and Marisa's husband Chris have already bonded over topics such as keeping their ladies alive during athletic feats and the musical talents of James Blunt.
Master of Ceremonies
Bridget grew up as her biological parents' only child. So when her mom married stepdad John in 2005, Todd and Bridget, only 18 months different in age and both competitive swimmers, became close right away. One of Bridget's favorite memories of growing up together occurred just after Todd got his driver's license; they were left to fend for themselves for dinner, and as two ravenous swimmers, nothing sounded better than a pizza. They both spent all their free time at the pool and therefore, neither one of them had jobs or money. Bridget remembered that her mom kept a box of change in her bedroom, so after raiding the coin box, the duo was able to drum up enough nickels to pay for their stuffed crust pizza and off they went in Todd's Honda Prelude. The look on the cashier's face as they counted out their 100+ nickels was priceless, and the cheesy perfection was everything they wanted. Now, Bridget, Todd, and Jesse get together every Saturday for Charcuterie Saturday where they devour bread Todd makes in his new bakery "Leavity" and drink South African wine. Every so often, the boys will get competitive and challenge each other to cook offs including bread pudding and pizza. Jesse is looking forward to breaking the current 1-1 tie through a traditional South African braai in Kruger. Todd and Bridget love being there for one another whether it is through hauling hot tubs, making dough tables, officiating weddings, or anything in between.
