Our Story

Jesse was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and from his early years he would accompany his dad on trips into spectacular wilderness areas all around the world which sparked his passion for backcountry adventure. Throughout his life, Jesse has spent annual holidays at the family's holiday home at Kaaimans River on the southern coast of South Africa, where he developed his love of fishing, boating, and cooking ever-more ambitious meals over an open fire. And when he was a teenager, the family relocated to the western USA, settling in Logan, Utah, on the slopes of the Wasatch Mountains. While somehow finding time to attend Logan High, Jesse and his friends hunted, fished, and explored the gloriously expansive and wild public lands of northern Utah and Wyoming. Despite the call of the wild, Jesse excelled in his studies at Weber State University and followed his interest in emergency medicine to build a successful career in respiratory therapy working long shifts in the nearby hospital’s Level 1 Trauma Center and medivac service: Life Flight in which Jesse gets to help patients worldwide. Bridget was born in suburban Chicago but didn’t stay there long. At only a few months old, Bridget boarded her first plane destined for sunny Dallas, Texas. It was the perfect environment for Bridget since she could splash in the backyard pool and enjoy long afternoons playing with her beloved golden retriever Abby. Five years later, the family moved again, this time to Salt Lake City, Utah. There, Bridget participated in a variety of sports, including gymnastics, softball, and golf. It was at her father’s summer home in northern Wisconsin that Bridget found her passion for the Green Bay Packers and all things water-related: fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. Bridget was awarded a scholarship to Colorado State University, where she earned a degree in Exercise Science. After graduation, she returned to Utah, earned a second degree in Interior Design, purchased a fixer-upper, flipped it, and adopted two goldendoodles. Bridget took a receptionist position and quickly identified Human Resources as an area of interest. Within a few short years, she climbed to the head of the company’s HR Department, earning her Professional in Human Resources certification along the way. She continues to share her talents in that field today. Jesse and Bridget met at the end of 2021, just as Jesse was preparing to leave for South Africa for four weeks. Their connection was immediate and strong; they looked forward each day to the two hours of time they were both awake to speak to each other from different ends of the world. During that time, the Packers had clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs and the couple decided to book their first trip together, leaving for Green Bay just days after Jesse’s return to the United States. It became the first of many trips which helped the couple find their love for one another in a short amount of time. Jesse and Bridget now enjoy adventurous travel together around the globe, spending weekends in the mountains of Utah with their three dogs (because two just wasn’t enough), and competing with one another for biggest fish. The couple was gifted with an incredibly beautiful wedding day in Stellenbosch, South Africa on December 14th. They are now so excited to share photos and celebrate stateside with you!
