The Palazzo Mansi Museum
Approximately 25 minutes to the north east of Lucca you can find the historical Villa Mansi. The villa was constructed during the 16th century by the wealthy Benedetti family and was extended in later years to include a fantastic landscape garden.Tours are available of the villa and this is a great way to spend an afternoon in the gorgeous Italian sun.
The Guinigi Tower
The Guinigi Tower was built in the second half of the fourteenth century by the Guinigis, a rich merchant family. It’s one of the few remaining towers in Lucca, a city which in the fourteenth century was crammed with these ancient skyscrapers.
