Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses or a dressy top with dress pants, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or sports coat. Ladies: When choosing footwear, please keep in mind that you will be walking on grassy areas, a patio that’s a little bit uneven, and wood flooring.

Question

Where is the ceremony taking place?

Answer

Outside, on the grounds of the Webb-Deane-Stevens House. If it is raining, the ceremony will be moved into the Webb Barn.

Question

The bridal party will be taking pictures at the wedding location for about an hour. Guests can head over to the patio for appetizers and drinks during this time. We have planned it this way so that we can include family and friends in our wedding photos.

Question

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" for you and your family or guest, so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

How do i get to the venue?

Answer

From Hartford and Points North: Take Interstate 91 south to Exit 26 (Old Wethersfield). It is four miles south of the intersection of Interstates 84 and 91 in downtown Hartford. Follow the prominent brown signs for the Webb and Deane Houses. When you arrive at the intersection in the center of Old Wethersfield, take a left on Main Street. The museum is one block on the right side of the street. From New Haven and Points South: Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 26 and follow the signs to the houses in the center of Old Wethersfield. From the West: Take Interstate 84 east past Waterbury to 691 east. From the left lane, exit to Interstate 91 north. From the East: Take Interstate 84 west to Interstate 91 south. The Museum may also be reached from the Silas Deane Highway (Route 99). Both Church Street and Wells Road connect with Main Street.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free and located behind the Webb Barn. The parking entrance is on the same side, just one driveway down from the main entrance of the Webb-Deane-Stevens house. It is the gravel driveway immediately left of the yellow Silas Deane House. Look for the sign that says Webb Barn Parking at the top of the driveway!
