Bride
Jenna was born in Nanaimo, a town by the sea on the west coast of Canada. She and her five siblings spent many days roaming the beaches and bike riding down dirt roads as fast as they could pedal. She loved to read and play the bagpipes and run wild outside with her siblings and friends. Jenna was a dreamy kid and often paused to wonder what the love of her life was doing at that moment. She pictured the farthest place she knew, China, and thought, “What if he’s all the way over there?” As it turned out, he was. And, he was adopted by wonderful parents in Florida, only fifty miles or so from where Jenna often spent her summers as a teenager with her best friend. Jenna believes meeting Luke was always in the cards for her, the how and when just had to sort themselves out. Jenna still adores reading, listening to country music, playing with her dogs, and going on long walks in the Arizona sunshine. Her friends are her family and her family are her friends.
Groom
Luke was raised in an orphanage between the ages of four to eleven. There, he liked hanging out with his friends and causing a lot of trouble. He was adopted by great parents when he was eleven and moved to Florida. He was greeted by three new siblings and the family dog. Growing up, Luke enjoyed reading day and night, playing the piano, and taking part in a variety of sports. Luke always hoped to find that one person he could open up to and trust with his past. When he met Jenna, the connection they shared was unbelievable. The more he talked to her, the more he knew she was the one.
Bridesmaid
Jenna met Grace in the winter of 2008 through her brother, Craig. They spent many summer nights watching Anne of Green Gables, teasing their younger siblings, whispering about crushes, and getting uncontrollable fits of giggles (the gigs). Jenna and Grace grew up together and will be friends for life.
Bridesmaid
Jenna and Heidi met in the summer of 2011 when they were roommates at guide dog school. They bonded over their mutual love of dogs, pop music, and fantasy and quickly became best friends. From cruises to camping to theme parks to beach days, these two love doing everything together.
Bridesmaid
Jenna and Sirena met in the summer of 2011 when they were classmates at guide dog school. They love Harry Potter marathons, giggling about love interests, and partying together. Jenna and Sirena are like sisters and know they can count on each other forever.
Maid of Honor
Jenna and Krystal met in the fall of 2018 at the dining in the dark restaurant where they worked and became best friends. They found shared interests in MBTI, enneagram profiles, and experiencing new things. The recipe for a Jenna/Krystal hang out includes two cups of tea, three unexpected detours, and four hours talking about life.
Groomsman
Luke and David became brothers when Luke was adopted in 2013. For years they shared a room and late-night chats were not uncommon. Even now that they’ve both moved out and are living in different states, they still have catch-up calls and update each other on their lives.
Groomsman
Luke and Jared met in the summer of 2017 when they were roommates at school. They like hanging out on the holidays and going to theme parks.
Best Man
Luke and James met over 15 years ago when James would visit Luke’s orphanage in China. Luke remembers James as the guy who just kept showing up to hang out. After Luke was adopted, James became Luke’s teacher, cousin, and friend. Luke and James enjoy eating Chinese food, drinking tea, and having deep conversations.
