Andre's Version of the Story: A mutual friend that we share from Chicago, had suggested I reach out to Jenna right around the time I moved to Denver in 2017, because in her own words, we were both "fun and single". Although that's not much to go off of, I happily obliged. Before reaching out, I looked up Jenna on Instagram to find out if we shared any mutual friends. As I creeped through her Instagram pictures, I became so attracted to Jenna's genuine smile and her overall beauty that I kind of chickened out, and I straight up - didn't reach out to her at all in 2017. Maybe I was afraid of being rejected? But I think subconsciously, I wasn't ready to jump into a relationship in a new city, and I kind of had a feeling I might fall for her right away..... BOY WAS I RIGHT! Fast forward ~8 months later and our mutual friend asked me if Jenna and I ever met up. Clearly we hadn't, but this time around I was committed to following through. Long story short, Jenna ended up texting me first and I finally built up the courage to ask her out. The first date was on a Tuesday night at a new Taco joint. We talked for hours about our shared interest in music, food, cooking, sports and soon enough I was praying the night would never end. As we wrapped up dinner, I was just about to suggest we grab a nightcap at a craft cocktail bar around the corner. But once again, Jenna beat me to the punch and suggested we go to the diviest-dive-bar in all of Denver (Don's). I'm a huge fan of dive bars, so of course I agreed. We sat at the bar, sipped on cans of Coors Banquet and I watched Jenna call out some random, unexpecting guy in a Cavs jersey, as she proceeded to explain why the Pacers should have beat Cleveland in the 1st round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs... needless to say, I was smitten and the rest is history!

Just when Andre thought he couldn't FALL any further in love with Jenna... He fell through a 3rd story sky light window, miraculously landed on his feet and spent 7 hours leading up to the surprise proposal, in a hospital bed. If any of you know Andre very well, this peculiar accident may not come as a complete and total surprise. Once he got out of the hospital, Andre wasted no time popping the question. Although he had 2 busted ankles, Andre still had a good knee to kneel on as he proposed to Jenna. She said YES! They celebrated with friends and family in Chicago and then flew down to Siesta Key, FL the very next day to keep the party going. Ask to see pictures of Andre's "Beach Cruiser" wheelchair in Siesta - you won't be disappointed.
