Take an S-train from Nørreport to Copenhagen Central Station and explore the former slaughterhouse district. Kødbyen has become especially famous for its lively nightlife, but there are also plenty of things to experience in daylight.

Here you can find a mix of different restaurants, galleries, theaters, shops and a few working slaughterhouses. The streets still bear their history with street names such as "Flæsketorvet", "Staldgade" and "Slagtehusgade".
