Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will take place on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at Roaring Camp, located at 5401 Graham Hill Rd, Felton, CA. Please arrive at 2:30 pm. Traffic over the hill to Santa Cruz can get messy, so make sure to plan accordingly!

Question

When and where do we RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st, 2024, however, we appreciate you RSVPing as soon as you know your availability. Please RSVP for each event through our wedding website.

Question

What is the timeline of events?

Answer

We ask that guests arrive at 2:30 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., we will be taking a 30-minute steam train through the redwoods to our ceremony location. There is only one train going out, so please make sure to arrive on time. We will return to the reception site around 5:15, at which time we will begin dinner and speeches. We will spend the rest of the evening dancing!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your wedding invitation. It will either be addressed to you or to you and your named guest(s).

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your children, we have opted for an adult-only celebration. We hope this advance notice helps you plan for the evening.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We encourage our guests to dress in cocktail attire. Feel free to wear a knee-length or midi dress or skirt, dressy jumpsuit, or dark jacket and slacks. Because the ceremony will take place outdoors in a wooded area, we recommend opting for a comfortable, stable heel, wedge, or flats (no stilettos!).

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of free parking available at Roaring Camp. Please mention at the front gate that you are here for our wedding and they will usher you in.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair/ADA accessible?

Answer

Yes, the train, ceremony site, and reception site are all wheelchair accessible. The venue has two wheelchairs and lifts available to assist on and off the train. Please note, the ceremony will be a standing ceremony in the redwoods and will last roughly 30 minutes. There is also a closer parking/drop-off area for those with mobility issues in the venue's employee lot near the train depot. Please contact us if you need any assistance with this!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP. Our catering team will ensure that your needs are accommodated during the reception dinner.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September weather in Felton is generally warm and sunny, with the monthly average being in the high 60s/low 70s. However, we recommend bringing a jacket or shawl, as it can get chilly at night. The reception will take place indoors, but there will be outdoor games such as cornhole available as well.
