Like so many modern relationships, the sparks of Jason and Christina’s romance were kindled over a dating app. From their early conversations on Hinge, Jason gleaned that Christina was a fun-loving, intelligent gal with a dry wit and a love of R&B. From conversations with mutual contacts, Christina uncovered that Jason “loved dad jokes and has a unique voice” and was a friendly dude, despite looking a bit bro-y on his dating account. Christina and Jason’s fantastic first date was at Off the Rails Brewing in Sunnyvale, which they now associate with their beloved weekly trivia night outings and mediocre brews. Both of them were so excited about how the date went that Jason called his then-roommate, Akira Sekiguchi, on the drive home, and Christina dropped the facade that she had been grabbing dinner with girlfriends when she saw her mom and a family friend when she came home. Christina and Jason’s relationship was built on a mutual appreciation of each other’s distinct, but complementary personality traits. Whereas Christina is generally mellow and laidback, Jason is a firecracker with a larger-than-life personality. Their bond was strengthened during the early days of the pandemic when they moved in together in Santa Cruz. Some of their fondest memories were spending days in the 831 hiking, trying new restaurants and breweries, and watching every Marvel movie (which Christina enjoyed more than she had anticipated). Christina and Jason’s great love of family and friends has been another strong foundation in their relationship, and they look forward to welcoming all of their favorite people to their wedding in the Santa Cruz Mountains. From their first date at Off the Rails to their wedding at Felton’s Roaring Camp train depot, Christina Eliopoulos and Jason Back together have always been on track. All aboard for love!
