Enjoy the story of TEXAS and the establishment of the North Texas Plains. This entertaining Musical is a great activity for families. Enjoy the entire TEXAS experience a pre-show chuck wagon BBQ and a fire-work celebration send off.
Cadillac Ranch
You wouldn’t think a bunch of vintage Cadillacs stuck in the ground, stripped for parts, and spray painted with inches of paint would be so exciting, but it is one of Amarillo’s most well known attractions. Grab a rattlecan, take a walk, and leave your mark on Amarillo. Don’t forget to to take a commemorative picture!
Hodgetown Stadium
Few things are better than Baseball and Beer. Enjoy watching Amarillo’s minor league baseball team swing, hit, and knock your socks off! The stadium is kept well maintained, there is tons of food and and drink, and the games are great to watch!
Route 66
Take a stroll down old Route 66, also known as 6th street in Amarillo. Many vintage shops, cafe’s, and bars are an enjoyable place to stop.
American Quarter Horse Association
The AQHA headquarters is located in Amarillo. Every single registered Quarter Horse has been in this system. In 2010 Katie did a six week externship with the genetics and naming department and helped pick register names of quarter horses. The musuem is a wonderful place to learn, is great for families, kids, or adults and will make you feel like you’ve arrived at the rodeo or racetrack.
Amarillo Botanical Gardens
This beautifully landscaped 4 acres of land is a perfect spot for a refreshing drink, live music, and time to spend with your family. Jason and Katie attended a Christmas Party for the Clinic here in 2018
Don Harrington Discovery Center
This is a great place for families with kids to get hands on experience learning all sorts of science and technology.
