Will out of town guests stay near the wedding venue?

Answer

Our hotel room block is located at our wedding venue. Not only will you be staying at our venue (ceremony and reception), you will also be in the heart of Atlanta with a host of things to do! The hotel is also conveniently connected to Colony Square which features a popular dining hall, a host of restaurants, shopping boutiques, an IPIC movie theater, and bars.

When is the RSVP deadline?

The RSVP deadline is 08/19/24. Once you receive your formal invitation (late June 2024), please use the RSVP tab to confirm your attendance. Should you decide to RSVP with a positive response, but unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending our special day, we sincerely request your prompt communication. Please know that no matter the outcome, your presence in our hearts is what matters most. We greatly look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion with you, whether it be in person or in spirit.

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony starts at 6pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 10 minutes before the event. Due to a City Event, Peachtree Street will be closed between 15th and 18th Streets. We advise avoiding 14th Street as much as possible, or allowing for extra commute time to accommodate potential delays. Valet is available at a discounted rate of $30.00 for all guests attending the Davidson-Bond Wedding.

Where should guests park?

Answer

Valet parking has been arranged for all wedding attendees at a rate of $30, valid until 1AM. Upon arrival, please drive up to the main entrance where our valet service will assist you. Please note that if you choose to self-park, you will forfeit the discounted event parking rate, and standard public parking hourly fees will apply. - **Traffic Advisory**: Due to a City Event, Peachtree Street will be closed between 15th and 18th Streets. We advise avoiding 14th Street as much as possible, or allowing for extra commute time to accommodate potential delays. - **Venue Entry**: Once you arrive at The Starling Hotel, be sure to designate that you are attending The Bond-Davidson Wedding. Hosts will be in the lobby to direct you to our wedding ceremony on the 27th floor. If you are staying overnight at The Starling Hotel as part of the Davidson-Bond Wedding block, we are pleased to offer a special discounted valet rate of $40. This rate includes **entry, exit, and re-entry privileges**, which are not available with self-parking. To take advantage of this discount, please inform the valet team during check-in that you are part of the Davidson-Bond Wedding Block. This will ensure you receive the proper rates for the duration of your stay. Please note, if you opt for self-parking, the discounted rate and re-entry privileges will not apply, and you will be charged the standard public parking hourly fees. Lyft/Uber is highly recommended if you plan to consume alcohol.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie formal. Men should wear black tuxedos or dark colored suits. Women should wear formal dresses/gowns. Wedding colors are Navy, Black, and Silver. You are more than welcome to wear those colors as well. There is no color preference. Wear what color you wish to wear except all white. (Ladies feel free to bring a pair of flats for dancing)

Kindly note that our formal celebration will be exclusively for adults. We appreciate your understanding and hope you'll join us in celebrating this special day with joy and style!

May I take photos/videos?

Answer

We would love to have as many photos and videos captured of our wedding day as possible; especially from our family and friends point of views! However, during the wedding ceremony, we kindly ask that no photos or videos are taken. We would love our guests to be present in the moment with us and will be having an unplugged ceremony. Thank you for understanding! Please feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you’d like after the ceremony.

May I bring a date or someone in place of my original plus one?

Answer

If your formal invitation does not include a guest or if your allotted plus one is unable to attend, we kindly request you to not bring any additional guests. We want to celebrate with our close family & friends and we have already given headcount estimates to our vendors. If your guest’s name is listed on your invite when you RSVP, we look forward to seeing both of you. Please let us know at your earliest convenience if your plus one can no longer attend the event.
