Flight
Airport Options
If you are flying into the area, we would highly recommend Albany. The other options would be NYC or Boston - see below for transit options from those areas. Albany ➡️ North Adams: 1 hour drive; there are a few cab companies we can recommend, in addition to Uber/Lyft. North Adams ➡️ Albany: we recommend using OTT Taxi (413-663-3838) for return trips to the airport; they are based out of North Adams, charge a flat airport rate, and are open 7 days a week.

Northeast Transit Options
NYC: there are a few different bus options to Williamstown, which is 10-15 minutes drive from North Adams; we would recommend Peter Pan or Bonanza Bus Lines. Boston: there is an Amtrak train to Pittsfield, which is 30 minutes drive from North Adams; there is also a bus via Bonanza Bus Lines to Williamstown.
Rental Car
Should I rent a car?
All the weekend's activities will be within walking distance of each other (5-15 minutes). So while a having a car won't be necessary in North Adams, we would recommend it if you are interested in going hiking and doing other things in the surrounding area.

The Porches Inn at MASS MoCA
This is the closest lodging to MASS MoCA and where we will be staying! We have reserved some rooms here in a block - please call Porches Inn rather than booking through the website and let them know you are part of the block.

Alternative Hotel Options
If Porches is not your speed (or gets booked up!), we would recommend Hotel Downstreet, also located in downtown North Adams. It is around 10 minutes walking distance from MASS MoCA. For those with cars, the Fairfield Inn in Williamstown is a great option as well, about 10 minutes drive.
