It's DC. Go do DC stuff. Go see monuments.
We recommend the Washington monument then walk over to WW2 memorial (this one is best at night) and then go along reflecting pool up to Lincoln and around the tidal basin for the FDR and Jefferson, these can be done at day or night for different experiences, both good.
If you go to the Whitehouse, Old Ebbitt's Grill is the oldest bar in DC and has good reasonably priced food for being the bar across the street from the white house.
Casey recommends the Ramen at Chaplin's.
Zoo and museums
Casey recommends going to the top of the W to get a view of the Washington Monument even thought it's clubby and there is barely a view. J says don't bother because it's too clubby and there's barely a view. Casey says write it on the wedding website anyway. J says fine I'm writing it but I'm writing all of this down too though. Casey says No don't write that! J says fine I won't.
