Carter & Jamie first connected on Hinge, a mobile dating app, in February 2019. As any healthy relationship starts, there's two different stories as to how this exactly went down. First, Carter swears that there were, A. no fishing-related photos, and, B. at least one photo displaying his bald head. Jamie disagrees. Second, Carter claims that Jamie 'ghosted' him, however Jamie writes off her 3 weeks of silence due to a "family vacation" in "Patagonia". Regardless of how it all exactly started, there was no dispute as to what came next. Several dates quickly came and went, and a foundation of childhoods defined by summer camp and a love for Louisianan cooking was discovered. Carter wasted no time in solidifying the budding relationship, leveraging the sweet tastes of Safta (IYKYK) to get Jamie into agreeing to put a label on it. Four years since that evening, gorging on pita, Carter and Jamie traversed something called a global pandemic, adopted BLUE, navigated first time home ownership and traveled extensively (although there's room for improvement, per Jamie). And four years in, Carter proposed to Jamie in New Orleans. This was the smartest thing he ever did. Not only because Jamie is the single greatest woman of all time, but because she couldn't say no because of her love for New Orleans.
