Wine Walk

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Attire: wear clothes and shoes you are comfortable walking in

We will be leading a walking tour of Capestrano to show off our favorite viewpoints and sights! Highlights include: the outlook where James proposed, our house, the winding streets of the historic district, and much much more. Wine and snacks will be provided! Plan on meeting outside of Casa Senatore. Note: this will be a meandering walk with lots of stops, but it does include uneven terrain and inclines. Total walking distance will be around 2 miles. If you need an abbreviated version of this event, it is possible to drive up to the Convento di San Giovani and meet us for drinks and snacks.

River Picnic

Attire: Dress comfortably. We will be walking in a field and sitting on blankets to picnic.

October is the beginning of olive harvesting season, so we thought it would be a fun activity! We will provide light lunch and wine.

Dinner at Lo Zio Barrett

7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

A restaurant about 10 minutes away with a very delicious menu! We made a reservation to include everyone that is in town Thursday night. If you can't make it, just let us know. Also wish Hailey, sister of the bride, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Rehearsal

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Just a quick run through of the ceremony. Only the wedding party and family need to attend. All other guests are welcome to gather for drinks and snacks at Casa Senatore!

Rehearsal Dinner

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Attire: Let's embrace Friday the 13th and all wear black cocktail attire!

This will take place in the renovated cave area of the Degusteria restaurant. We will be providing beer and dinner. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Serenata

Following the rehearsal dinner, gather outside of Casa Senatore to witness our take on an Italian wedding tradition.

Ceremony

4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Attire: Formal (suits and gowns or cocktail dresses). We are going for an autumnal formal garden party vibe (with a hint woodland industrial boho). If you're shopping for outfits, think colors like olive green, sage green, mustard, cinnamon, burgundy, eggplant, mauve, rose, navy, etc. Bridesmaids will be in a dark rust color.

The venue will be in a cobblestone courtyard, so plan your shoes and outerwear accordingly!

Cocktails and Photos

4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Please join us in the small piazza outside of the chapel for drinks and light snacks. We will be taking the opportunity to grab some photos during this time.

Reception

6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

We will be gathering back in the private courtyard for dinner, more wine, and dancing! Pasta (red sauce with lamb ragu and white vegetable lasagna) and various traditional sides will be available with all meal options.

Hiking Rocca Colascio

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Attire: Wear comfortable shoes and something to stay warm. The elevation is higher than in Capestrano, and the roads/pathways leading up to the castle are uneven.

We will be driving to the town of Colascio and walking to the tallest castle in Italy! We can explore around the historic town either before or after the hike. This is one of the places you can get Abruzzo-famous arrosticini (skewers of lamb). It is of note that like most places in Italy, all the business in this town pretty much shut down from 1-3pm.
