Matron of Honor
Friend of the bride Hannah and I met and became best friends the day we signed the lease for our apartment at Grand Valley. From that point on, Hannah has never left my side. We are so similar, she is truly my other half. Hannah's one of the most thoughtful and supportive people I've ever known. Last year, I got to stand by her side as she married the love of her life, Blaine, who is also in our wedding party.
Best Man
Brother of the groom Trav is Jake's younger brother. From the start, Travis has always made me feel like a part of the family. I am thankful to have both Moyer boys in my life; they are two of the smartest, kindest, and most driven people I've ever known. I am thankful that in August, I will officially be able to call Travis my brother, too, even though he's felt like one for years!
Maid of Honor
Friend of the bride Lily graduated from St. Pats High School with Jake and I. While it took us a little time to warm up to each other in first grade, we were best friends by the end of the year. Lily's house was my second home during school, and to this day, I consider the Pungs, my family. Lily's more like a sister and was the first person I told when Jake and I started talking.
Groomsman
Cousin of the groom Collin is Jake's first cousin and a life-long friend. Collin also went to and graduated from St.Pats the year before us. Together, Jake and Collin, have made many memories over the years, some of Jake's favorite being snowmobiling trips and pouring a lot of concrete at Moyer Construction. Last summer, Jake was honored to be one of Collin's groomsmen as he married his high school sweetheart, Elle.
Maid of Honor
Friend of the bride Ashley transferred to our high school Freshman year, and I was instantly drawn to her sweet and caring personality. We became best friends fast, and you could find me at Ashley's house almost every day after school before softball or volleyball practice. To this day, we share a love of Scooby-Doo, Wheel fried pickles, and buffalo chicken wraps. Ash is a one of a kind friend and one of the sweetest people I've ever met.
Groomsman
Friend of the groom Nick did not graduate from St. Pats, but it felt like he should have. So much so that he attended our five-year reunion last summer. Nick and Jake have been friends since they were little, and Jake often talks about his memories at the Goodman Farm. Nick is Jake's all-time favorite cribbage buddy, and I hope that in 50 years, they are still getting together to play.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the bride Clara has been my best friend since first grade. From elementary through high school, it was typical for me to be at the Shattuck's house at least one night per week. Irish dance classes, Girl Scouts, Westside slurpies, and playing barbies in her basement - I have few memories from growing up that don't include Clara. We went to Grand Valley together, where we made many new memories.
Groomsman
Cousin of the bride Robert is the closest to me in age out of all of my cousins. We've been great friends since birth. Robert moved to Florida when we were young, but things never changed, to this day every time we see each other, we pick up right where we left off. Back then, we spent a lot of time running around at Grandma and Grandpa Bs, and these days when we are together, you can find us checking out the local dive bars in whichever city we are in (Jupiter, FL or Lansing, MI).
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the bride Chels is more like a big sister than a cousin. We've been close since birth, and she's always been my built-in best friend. Despite never living near each other, over the years, we have always stayed close. We share a love for the lake where we have and continue to spend long-summer weekends with our family. Last summer, I got to stand by her side and shed happy tears as she married her husband, Andrew.
Groomsman
Friend of the groom Paul and his twin brother John, who is also a part of our wedding party, both graduated from St.Pats with us. Jake and Paul have been friends since first grade and growing up, mine and Paul's family were always close. Paul's sense of humor and personality made our twelve years of school together much more fun.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the bride Amber is another St.Pats graduate. As Seniors on the softball team, Amber was my lucky charm; I always hit better when she was around. I had no idea just how close we would become until Freshman year of college when she was randomly selected as my roommate. That year, we became best friends and have stayed that way ever since. Our spring break trip, late-night C Store runs, and paper clip nose rings are just a few of my favorite memories with her.
Groomsman
Friend of the groom Jake (Miller) is one of three Jakes that we had in our graduating class of 27 kids. Miller and my Jake (Moyer) have been close since they were little and have shared so many memories. Miller has been a friend to us both and a part of our life for so long. Next year, Jake (Moyer) gets to be a part of Miller's wedding party as he marries his beautiful bride-to-be, Shelby, who will be singing at our wedding.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the bride Amy also graduated from St. Pats with Jake and I. We got especially close at Grand Valley Freshman year, when she lived just down the hall from me in our dorm, Kirkpatrick. Amy's spunk and energy make any situation more fun, whether we are bar hopping in Grand Rapids, having a pajama party, learning a new dance, or coordinating our annual group Halloween costume. Amy's my most spontaneous friend and, I am so grateful for our adventures.
Groomsman
Friend of the groom Jake (Schneider) is another one of the three Jakes that were in our graduating class. Schneider has been a friend to us both for a long time. From tracking deer to snowmobile trips, class parties, and Grand Valley visits, we both have so many memories with Schneider.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the bride Lauren came into my life Freshman year of college when I sat down next to her in CAP 105. We shared the same major (Advertising & Public Relations) and were neighbors at Copper Beech Apartments. College wouldn't have been the same without her; wine nights, PR Wednesdays, and standing side by side as we graduated. We continue to make new memories, including my first Tiger's Game, a trip to Nashville, and in true Mari & Lauren fashion, a PR conference.
Groomsman
Friend of the groom Blaine came into our lives during college when he started dating my best friend and Matron of Honor, Hannah. From the start, we all hit it off and loved hanging out together. Not only have Blaine and Hannah been great friends to us, but they have also been marriage role models. I know Hannah and Blaine will be our friends for life and years from now we will still be meeting for double dates.
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the bride Riley is more like my little sister than a cousin. I've loved her since the day she was born. Despite our age gap, she's always been willing to hang out with her big cousin, and over the years, we always made time for cousin dates. Dress shopping, movies, painting pottery, and, most recently, prepping for her to go to college. She's grown up to be an amazing and down to earth person, and I am thankful that as she grows, so does our bond.
Groomsman
Friend of the groom John is the other Carley twin, and also a part of our graduating class. He, too, has been a friend to both Jake and I for years. Many of our memories growing up have the Carley boys in them. From spring break trips to class parties and family dinners, growing up wouldn't have been the same without them. We don't see each other every day anymore, but whenever we get together it doesn't feel like much time has passed.
Bridesmaid
Step-sister of the bride Ella is the little sister I never knew I needed. While adjusting from my only child ways took some time, she's been a true blessing in my life. She's grown from the sweet kid I met years ago, into a strong woman that I admire and am so proud of. I'll always love our family dinners, workout sessions, and sharing many laughs and all of life's big moments.
Usher
Step-brother of the bride Will is the little brother I never knew I needed. His infamous "did you know" statements, fantastic cooking, and creative fist pumps make our family what it is. Its been a blessing to watch him grow up into the talented and caring young man that he is.
Usher
Cousin of the Groom Preston is Jake's cousin and life-long friend. One of our favorite memories with Preston was our UP trip, where Preston played Florida Georgia Line's "Here's to the Good Times" album on repeat and sang his heart our entire 5-hour trip. Preston is hilarious, and whenever he is around, you know it will be a good time.
Usher
Cousin of the groom Ryan is Jake's cousin and has been a friend to us both for years. Ryan also went to St.Pats and graduated a few years ahead of us. From golf and cross country practices, to pool parties at his house during the summer, we both share so many memories with Ryan and his family.
