Point Judith/Narragansett Ferry, RI If you are flying into Boston or TF Green, this is the closest and easiest ferry for you to take. They have a slow ferry (1 hour) or a fast ferry (30min). If you are planning on taking the fast ferry, we recommend you book your tickets in advance. But Please note: This Ferry only runs on Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon during this time of the season and only runs ONCE a day at 9am to get to Block Island. Block Island has a ton of amazing house rentals and if you are looking to take advantage of your visit and spend more time on the Island, we highly recommend looking into renting a house. It also may be the most cost effective per night. Maggie and Jake and their families plan to be on BI for the week leading up to the wedding! Local rental agencies on the Island OR join the Block Island Facebook group have lots of inventory of houses to explore as well! Block Island is very small! But has lots of hills. Makes it easy to drive, taxi or moped from place to place within minutes. Biking and walking are excellent options, just be wary of the hills! Cars, Taxis, Bikes, Mopeds, Walking
The Traditional Ferry out of Point Judith/Narragansett, RI - takes car reservations. Bringing a car over can be very helpful if you plan on staying on Block Island for an extended amount of time. Car reservation booking begins in January 2024. Car reservations can be pretty competitive for Friday-Sunday bookings.
