This is one of approximately 8 natural hot springs locations throughout Colorado. In our opinion, this is our favorite. Due to covid, they require reservations so be sure to reserve ASAP. They only release two reservation spots at a time, so you may be required to book one and then keep checking back on the website when they open up more slots (they do this to avoid large groups booking). 20$ per person. RESERVATIONS will be available 25-30 days out from wedding -- check around February 14th. We are working on being able to reserve reservations prior to opening spots to the public. Refer to website for transportation/shuttle reservations. If you choose to not take the shuttle, you will need 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the top.
While Strawberry Hot Spring is a short drive north of downtown Steamboat, Old Town Hot Springs is located right in the downtown. It includes several man-made pools with natural hot springs piped into the pools.
The most popular short hike near Steamboat (1/4-mile walk down a gravel path). Download "Alltrails" App, there you will be able to find current conditions of the trail. The trail will probably be snow covered in March. Therefore, you may need to wear boots with micro spikes for traction depending on snow coverage.
This is where the locals ski. It's not as big or as well-known as Ski Steamboat, but it is located just adjacent to downtown Steamboat Springs.
This is the resort we will be skiing since we have the IKON Pass. Please note that as of right now Steamboat Ski Resort will not be selling same-day tickets. Therefore, we advise buying the 4-day pass or one of the season passes. The IKON ski pass as well as the 4-day pass can be used at other resorts (see website). If you choose to purchase the 4-day pass you are not required to use them all at Steamboat nor do you have to use all four days consecutively. Pre-order ski rentals online, pick up in store. If your boots, board, or skis aren't working out for you Christy Sports will usually switch out for you. I have always had good luck with them. Everyone in Colorado wears helmets, RESERVE a helmet :), usually an extra 10$. However, any ski shop you choose in town will be good.
Whether you're planning to shred some powder or just want to take in the beautiful views from atop the mountain, you can ride the gondola located in Gondola Square at Steamboat Ski Resort.
Enjoy tubing in Steamboat Springs at Saddleback Ranch on the Yee-Haw Tubing Hill. Pricing for all ages is $36 per person / 2 hour session (includes shuttle service). Children under four are free but must ride with a paying adult. Pick-up and drop-off is at the Gondola Transit Center on Mt. Werner Circle (steamboat resort). Lanes 1, 2, and 3 at 12:30pm, and 3:45pm.Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to the Transit Center bus stop as the bus cannot wait for late arrivals.
The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is the longest coaster in North America at more than 6,280 linear feet. The track near Christie Peak Express descends more than 400 vertical feet, rises up to 40 feet above the ground, and features dips, waves, and 360-degree turns.
