The family and friends of the bride and groom apply a turmeric based paste to their skin to clean them and make sure they are looking and feeling fresh. Come and go at your leisure and bless the couple. There will be singing and dancing towards the end. This event is short, if you want to just hang out at the resort or go on an adventure this is the perfect time.

Come and meet everyone and get to know who you'll be spending the next few days with. There will be dinner, drinks, and dancing. Henna artists will be there so get your mehndi done! Shagun and Chunni Chadai will be done at this event. To mark the acceptance of the bride and groom into their new families, the Chunni Ceremony and shagun are observed. Each family brings their new daughter-in-law and son-in-law gifts. For the bride the special part of the gift is an intricately embellished head scarf or Chunni. This ceremony is known as Chunni Chadana. She is then gifted jewelry like bangles or necklaces that are family heirlooms by her mother-in-law who helps her put them on.

Indian formal/semi formal - bright colors, comfortable shoes to dance all night. Leave your heels in your rooms ladies, the event's on the sand.
Join us on the beach for the Sangeet. The night will start with the churra ceremony at 5:30pm. There will be performances put on by family and friends of the couple. Enjoy food and drinks with your toes in the sand. The party goes late after the sunset, and there will be a lot of dancing.
9:00 am

On the beginning of the wedding day, the groom's family will "travel" to the location of the wedding while dancing and celebrating. Once they get there they will be welcomed by the bride's family. Members of each family will introduce themselves to each other. After that a short prayer will mark the end of the celebration and the beginning of the ceremony before everyone enters the Coda Garden.
10:00 am
You will need to remove your shoes and cover your head prior to entering the garden. Proceed to stand in line for "Matha Taykna," act of bowing down to show respect to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (Sikh holy book). Here you will get down on the floor and touch your forehead to the floor. Everyone sits on the floor. Most sit cross-legged. No one should sit pointing their feet at the Guru Granth Sahib.
Dress Code: Indian formal/semi-formal. Please wear attire you feel comfortable sitting on the ground in. Ladies bring a scarf to cover your head. Anand Karaj, or Blissful Union, is the Sikh wedding ceremony. The ceremony is centered around the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The bride will enter after everyone has taken a seat, and a prayer will take place before the ceremony begins. The bride and groom will walk around (Lavaan) Sri Guru Granth Sahib four times, each symbolizing a different vow of marriage. 1st Laav: The promise to let go of the past and commit to righteousness. 2nd Laav: The promise to be devoted completely to one another. 3rd Laav: The promise to be faithful to one another. 4th Laav: The promise to love God together. After the Lavaan are complete, a hymn will be sung. Then the Ardaas, final prayer, is performed with the congregation rising and asking for blessings for the couple and one another. After Ardas, Karah Prasad (sweet vegetarian dish) will be served.
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
A vegetarian lunch will served after the wedding. Feel free to use the remainder of the day to enjoy Cabo or the resort.
7:30 pm
Indian formal or western formal/semiformal
There will be an indian dinner, dancing, and games to celebrate the newlyweds. We understand if you want to skip out on this event and enjoy the resort and other cuisines. Feel free to stop by whenever to say hello.
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Formal attire
There will be appetizers and cocktails. This is outdoors.
