Right at the base of the foothills, Golden is an incredibly cute town with so much to do. - Have a beer on the patio at some of the best breweries, including Cannonball Creek, GCB, Mountain Toad, Holidaily and Coors - Walk downtown and check out the local shops and restaurants - Highly recommend checking out the Golden Mill and getting some ice cream from Happy Cones Co
A gravel trail that winds through sandstone fins with stops highlighting Golden's mining history and dinosaur footprints.
Beautiful golf course that we recommend booking ahead of time.
Walk along and cool off in clear creek. The path is paved in Golden and gravel as it continues into Clear Creek Canyon.
Buffalo Bill's Museum highlights the life of " Buffalo Bill" Cody and his Wild West show. Located near the top of Lookout Mountain, and very close to the Boettcher Mansion, the museum has an observation deck with incredible views of Golden and Denver.
Red Rocks is an open-air amphitheater nestled in between two rock outcrops and our favorite concert venue. You can visit and walk around the amphitheater until 2pm on show days and explore the park and geology during daylight hours.
If you are into dinosaurs, check this place out.
If you are interested in hiking or biking, check out AllTrails. There is a ridiculous amount of trails in the Denver area. Remember to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
