We both went to the same elementary school for a couple years, the same middle school, but didn’t actually become acquainted until high school. We became close friends when we joined the same youth group, Couples for Christ-Youth. Ever since then, we've shared the same goofy humor and love for service.

Jacob proposed to Kat at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Clarksburg on the First Friday of the Month—November 3, 2023. St. Joseph’s was the parish Jacob grew up in and we both have a devotion to St. Joseph. We consider him the “patron saint” of their relationship.
