Maid of Honor
I'll take you back 22 years ago to story time at the Milltown Public Library. That's where I met my best friend, the sister I never had. Fast forward two years later, we were in the same Kindergarten class at Our Lady of Lourdes and ever since then, we've been friends, the best of friends. To be clear, there are no more opposite people than Emilie and I. However, through many years of sleepovers, birthday parties, family vacations, heartbreaks, and successes, we clearly have done nothing short of sticking by one another. As little girls, we always would make each other promise that we'd be each other's maid of honor and, if we could, we would try to marry identical twins so our husbands would be equally handsome and so we could be somewhat related. Well, clearly only one of those things happened. While Jacob and my boyfriend, Nick, may not be anywhere near related, I couldn't be more grateful to see Emilie end up with a man who is as kind hearted and giving as her. I'm so honored and excited to be standing by them on the most important day of their lives!
Best Man
Jacob and Kyle grew up across the street from each other as small children. They really became close at church a few years later and have been best friends for nearly 20 years. Jacob was Kyle’s best man at his wedding. Kyle and Jacob bond over Houston sports, minus the Texans of course (Go Cowboys!), golf, and video games.
Maid of Honor
Em and I became best friends 10 years ago during our sophomore year of high school at St. Pius X. We have been through everything together, good times and bad. Some of my favorite memories with Emilie are from our time working at Camp For All. When Em asked me to write this, a specific memory came straight to mind. Back in October 2019, I was FaceTiming with Emilie while packing for camp that upcoming weekend and she started blushing so hard and had such a giddiness in her voice. She told me she wanted to introduce me to this new guy Jacob at work, and when I saw them together I knew they were made for each other. I am so honored to be apart of their special day and I can’t wait to officially celebrate The Garcia’s!

Cruising down the street on my mud dawg eating some razzles, slappin mailboxes, went down beechwood to get the scoop little Jacob was out there just shootin some hoops.
Bridesmaid
How did I meet the bride? Well let me tell ya! It was the first day of freshman year at Texas A&M and my first class was an engineering 101 course. I walk into a room full of men, and notice a few girls sitting to the side. I join the table and of course, this is where I meet Emilie. But our class schedule doesn’t stop there. Our freshman year we somehow had every single (except maybe 1?) class together. We studied together, got meals together from our favorite sandwich shop, and eventually worked together (at two different places!!). My most favorite memories of working with Emilie at Camp For All, outside of working with campers, was when she met Jacob. I am so excited for these two to be together and I am so excited that I get to be a part of their special day!

Jacob and I became very close within minutes of meeting each other. We met in our home town, lake Jackson, at his family’s home. Our friendship has been wonderful from the beginning, each helping one another through different ups and downs that life presents. (Pictured here when Jacob “inaugurated” me as president of poker club not long after we became friends.)

When I think of the first time I met Emilie I can’t even remember because it seems like we have been friends for lifetimes! High school was always better because of Emilie. She was always the one down to have fun and matched my crazy. Emilie was the reason I got through college, living with her felt like I had a piece of home with me every single day. I knew Jacob would be the one when she came home after the first date and told me she thought she was in love. If anyone knows Emilie it takes her years to make a decision about a place to eat, so I knew this was a big deal! I’m so excited that I get to be a part of the most special day of Emilie’s life!!

I honestly don't remember how Jacob and I met. He has always been a constant friend in my life. We've been through a lot from jumping off the roof into the pool as kids to awkward teen stages. Our shared love for "Salena" will always keep us bonded together! He was a groomsman in my wedding and has always been apart of major moments in my life. I cant wait to be apart of his big day.

I met Emilie at Camp For All in the summer of 2016 - her magical first summer and sadly my last. We clicked almost immediately and we seemed to know everything about each other without even talking about it (but we totally talked about literally everything). Emilie and I later shared the peculiar experience of being PSH "plus ones" once she started dating Jacob. This meant we ended up being each others dates to parties, happy hours, and other occasionally awkward social situations. Knowing that Emilie would be there always gave me comfort because, even if she was friends with everyone in the room, she knew how to make everyone feel included, heard, and appreciated. Emilie is one of the most kind, patient, and supportive people I have ever met, and I am incredibly excited that she found an equally awesome person to share her life with. I look forward to so many more years of double date vacations amd caffeine-fuled vent sessions!!

Tyler met Jacob working at the first job Tyler held after he moved to Texas. They instantly became best friends and quickly formed a close friendship over their shared interest of beer, sports, and Brooks and Dunn. Tyler can't think of anyone else when "Neon Moon" comes on the jukebox. Jacob has always been a great friend to Tyler and has cared for his childrens so deeply that he is the god father to Tyler's oldest son, Colter. Tyler's children love their "Uncle Monkey." Jacob and Tyler may not always be in the same county but wherever they are, they will always be best buds.

Emilie & I became friends about 10 years ago when we both ended up working with our high school volleyball team. When I think back to all the experiences Em & I have shared, there isn’t one that doesn’t include good times & lots of belly laughs! I remember when she told me about the cute instructor that started working at camp & told me his name. Of course there was immediate Facebook stalking & low & behold there was Jacob. I finally got to meet him months later & he instantly felt like a friend I had known for years. I knew these two had something special from that day on! I am ecstatic that I get to share this special day with them & cannot wait to celebrate The Garcia’s!!

Jacob and I became friends in high school. Between high school small group, college game nights, camping trips, lots of video games and many pick up basketball and volleyball games, Jacob has been a part of some of my funnest memories. We’ve been through a lot of life together and I’m grateful he’s been one of my best friends through it all!
