We met playing volleyball alongside friends in summer 2021 and connected later that fall while playing softball in the same church league. After flirting during the last few games, Jacob boldly asked Aimee on a date following the end-of-season party (in front of a couple of her friends). That day marked the beginning of our dating adventure!

One of our favorite dates was our first Valentines (2022) at the Grandscapes in The Colony. We have referenced that date many times since! Jacob asked Aimee to celebrate Valentine’s Day early this year with a similar date (dinner and Puttery). It was freezing cold outside, so we lingered in the car after dinner and began talking. After the sweetest conversation, we got out to walk through Grandscapes and Jacob proposed before going into Puttery. The ring Jacob chose was exactly what I dreamed of!
