Currently our gathering is permitted so long as all guests bear proof of vaccination or recent negative covid test. Weather permitting, we are expecting for everything to be outdoors. However, in the event that we need to move dinner/dancing indoors, the venue has requested that any unvaccinated guests please wear masks (while indoors). Above all, we want this to be an enjoyable and safe event for everyone!
We love your kids, but our camp weekend will not be child-proofed! Please leave your little ones at home if possible.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed at the camp.
If your original invite/RSVP is for you and a guest, please bring them. If you only see your own name on the RSVP form, please do not. We’re limited on space and will not be able to accommodate unexpected guests. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you feel we've left someone out!
There is plenty of parking on site!
There is Uber/Lyft service in the area, but it’s pretty limited so we wouldn’t bank on this. There will be shuttle transportation on the wedding day picking up and dropping off at Half Moon Bay Lodge.
Wear whatever you would typically wear to an outdoor summer wedding (semi-formal). Most importantly, we want you to be comfortable and to dress for longevity! Most of the festivities will be outdoors on natural ground, so dress accordingly! We’d also suggest bringing layers, as it will get chilly in the evening. There will be plenty of room for you to store a bag/extra layers so don’t worry about packing some extra items!
RVs are not allowed on the property. However, we would suggest Escape Campervans our Outdoorsy for a cozy camping setup.
Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier, but Verizon seems to work pretty well. There is also WiFi access in some areas of the camp.
Everyone will need to bring their own bedding. If you need a sleeping bag, please let Jaclyn know! Warm layers for chilly evenings Toiletries A towel (for showering/swimming/yoga) Shower sandals might not be a bad idea Swimsuit for the pool Yoga mat (or towel) & yoga clothes if you want to partake Flashlight/headlamp if you have one Bug spray Sunscreen Refillable water bottle Hiking shoes if you want to hike around the trails of the property Snacks/beverages for before the wedding on Saturday (we will provide dinner Friday, a light breakfast on Sat & Sun, and dinner at the reception on Saturday) Camping chairs if you can easily pack them (for hangin’ with your pals or by the campfire) Instrument if you play
The camping cabins are very basic. There are 8 bunks and one single bed in each cabin, sleeping 9 at the most. Each bed has a vinyl mattress, and you will need to bring a sleeping bag, pillows etc. There are no electrical outlets inside the cabins. Shared bathrooms with electrical outlets are located outside of the cabins. If you have a portable charger/extra battery for your phone, we’d recommend bringing it! See the Camping Cabin Page for more info.
There are showers on site, and the bathrooms have electricity if you need to dry or curl. We will also be setting up a big tent near the camping area with mirrors and clothing racks so you can hang your wedding-wear and have a little more space to get ready!
For guests staying onsite, there are 3 shower options. There are showers located in the men’s restroom located near Scheid Hall, on the pool deck, and in Willow Glen. Please note that similar to the rest of the summer camp, these are not glamorous. Be sure to pack a towel and a pair of flip flops might not be a bad idea either.
Since most guests will be staying onsite, we did not block any rooms off for the event. We would suggest staying in Half Moon Bay and seeing our hotel recommendations on the Travel page
The property itself contains 100 acres to explore with hiking trails Check out the incredible Redwoods! You can see these on site, as well as the nearby Heritage Grove trail San Gregorio State beach is located only a 15 minute drive at the base of La Honda Blvd at Hwy 1. There is an epic General Store located a 6 minute drive down La Honda Blvd towards the ocean that has a bar, coffee, tons of amazing trinkets, and occasionally live music! Apple Jack’s Saloon in La Honda is one of our favorite spots! Built in the 1870s, this biker bar was recently named among the top 32 dive bars in the country (#12). You can get anything you want at Alice’s Restaurant! Located in nearby Woodside, CA and a great place for a bite to eat or a beer. Visit Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz - both are beautiful coastal towns with lots to see, eat, and drink!
