David and I met 5 years ago. I was living in Atlanta, GA at the time and he was living in Macon, GA. We are from the same hometown and went to the same college (Go Dawgs!), but didn't cross paths until after when some friends set us up on a blind date. David drove to Atlanta and took me to dinner and an Atlanta Hawks basketball game. In short, it just felt easy. Laughing, enjoying each other's company, and getting to know one another all came so easily. From there, we dated for about 1.5 years long distance between Macon and Atlanta. We love traveling and took as many trips along the way as we could near and far. The year we met, we took our first trip together to Charleston, SC to celebrate David's birthday. Seeing the world with someone you love is something we won't ever get tired of! In late 2017, David got a promotion with work and relocated to San Diego, CA. We took long distance to a whole new level and dated cross country for another 1.5 years while I finished up grad school in Atlanta. In January 2019 after I graduated grad school, I moved out west and we finally called the same city home! We absolutely love San Diego. Calling this place home is a piece of cake. We've gone on some epic adventures and met some incredible people. In November 2019, we got engaged while hiking our favorite trail up on top of the coastal cliffs before heading down to the beach. Our hike got cut short because David had other plans all set up to celebrate afterwards with friends. David told me he had made dinner reservations for the two of us at in Little Italy to celebrate and when we got there all of our friends were on the rooftop popping champagne to help celebrate our engagement! We are getting married at Legare Waring House in Charleston, SC on September 11th, 2021. Charleston is a special place for us since our first of many trips was there. We are enjoying this sweet season and can't wait to celebrate this time in our lives with the people that mean the most to us!
