The ceremony and reception are 21+ only due to space restrictions. But don't worry, we have you covered! We have booked the largest cabin at Grand Lake Lodge, which will be designated for child care during the ceremony and reception. We will hire childcare specialists to watch the kiddos from 2:30 - 10 pm on Saturday, July 20th. The Elk Lodge is a short 5-minute walk from the reception pavilion so child pick-up can happen at any point in time.
Yes! Each cabin allows dogs if you choose to bring your furry friend an additional pet fee of $50 per pet - although dogs are NOT allowed during any of the events.
-During the day: Shorts, t-shirt, rain jacket (afternoon storms) -At night: Temps can drop to 50s, so plan for a coat or light jacket for the wedding, post wedding, walking between cabins. -Sunscreen & sunglasses! The sun shines 300 days of the year, so we highly recommend having protection handy. -Swimming gear - We are not only on Grand Lake, but they also have a pool onsite if you are staying in the cabins. -Hiking/Walking Shoes - The lodge is right in Rocky Mountain National Park, so tons of trails to look up and try out while you are here!
-Rental car: Each cabin site allows for a vehicle to park -Shuttles: There are a variety of shuttle companies that can be booked to transport guests to and from the airport -Ubers and Lyfts are not common in this area, so please plan accordingly as we want our guests to be as safe as possible.
Denver is known as the mile high city - 5,280 ft above sea level, and Grand Lake is 8,439 ft above sea level. The best way to adapt to the altitude is to stay hydrated! Some people feel the difference, some don't so when in doubt have your water bottles ready. Another note - 1 drink at altitude = 2-3 drinks at sea level!
