Location: Del Mar- upscale beach town with delicious restaurants, bars and hotels, that is slightly further north but worth the trip *Great spot for a waterfront, fancier meal
Location: La Jolla is both fancy and rugged, almost like parts of the Hamptons or Montauk. It has a stunning coastline, great restaurants, and some insane real estate *Grab breakfast and watch the surfers
*1 hour long loop that you can stay on a paved road for most of and look out at the ocean, or you can venture down down down onto the beach!
La Jolla *Restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the beautiful golf course overlooking the ocean
*Watch sea lions, birds, and sometimes wales or dolphins off the coast
The bar at La Valencia is a beautiful place to get a drink and admire the views
Location: Pacific Beach- the college town of San Diego (East Coasters, think Hoboken on the beach). The best part is the Mission Beach-Pacific Beach Boardwalk, a paved oceanfront path that spans 3.5 miles. AND of course the beach volleyball! Famously where AJ and Jackie have played many a game/tournament together, and really fell more and more in love *Perfect oceanfront spot for breakfast, coffee, and people watching
Location: Mission Beach, like Pacific Beach but more family oriented. AJ has such fond memories of vacationing here as a kid. AJ moved here as an adult, and his beach shack became the epicenter of so much of Jackie & AJs early dating moments *Open volleyball courts and basketball courts, first come first serve (pun intended)
Location: Mission Bay where AJ took Jackie kayaking for a date, and talked about their future *Jetski & Boat rentals, as well as nighttime paddle board rentals
Location: Mission Beach *Action Sports Rentals has many locations. This one is located at the Catamaran Hotel. You can rent kayaks, SUPs, bikes and boats. Also a great location just to walk around the bay. We'd recommend starting at Crown Point Park, and walking, biking or skateboarding all the way around Mission Bay for about 2.5/3 miles waterfront
Location: Crown Point / Pacific Beach, Jackie & Chloe lived directly across the street in their first San Diego apartment *Tied for best burger with Hodad's in OB, heavenly (cash only) hole in the wall
Location: Old Town- historic Mexican area of SD, that has some great roots, and some overly touristy energy but highly recommend *Jackie claims that this place has the best spicy margarita in San Diego. The restaurant also has a speakeasy in the back that you have to make a reservation for ahead of time, called Oculto
Location: Mission Hills- picturesque little nook that has some of the most stunning houses *Amazing coffee shop, and I'd recommend grabbing a coffee and walking around the neighborhood like you live here
Location: Point Loma- less touristy, more homey area of San Diego. Such a great place to explore *Favorite place to watch the sunset, and also a great walking path
Location: Point Loma *Indoor public market (east coasters can think Chelsea Market with less retail) It is situated in Liberty Station which was an old military lodging for Navy recruits starting in 1923. Liberty Station is filled with restaurants, exercise studios, grocery stores, and parks
Location: Point Loma *Best pasta in San Diego- Tozzi family can attest! Either make a reservation ahead of time, or order for pickup and enjoy the pasta wherever you'd like
Location: Shelter Island- beautiful little strip of land next to Point Loma where the Olson family keeps their boat, and the area of our rehearsal dinner *Casual brewery that is right on the water, great to hang out, bring kids, dogs etc
Location: Shelter Island *Brewery, restaurant and bar that has a fantastic marina view
Location: Ocean Beach (ie OB where we live!)- SUPER hippy spot with old roots in San Diego, lots of dreadlocks, sand and smiles *Tied for best burger with Rocky's
Location: Ocean Beach *BEST scones ever, hands down
Location: Ocean Beach *Great brunch that offers a biscuit board with delicious variety and matching butters that will blow your mind
Location: Ocean Beach *Jackie’s favorite yoga studio. Classes are heated, magical, and never start on time
Location: Coronado- small island right across the bridge from downtown. Disneyland of San Diego, super clean and super beautiful *Beachfront spot At Hotel Del with the greatest grilled fish tacos
Location: Balboa Park, must see park in San Diego with museums, street art, gardens, and beautiful architecture
Location: Balboa Park *Lovely place to walk around, and check out local artists
*Closest vineyard that has great wine, and beautiful views
