The Wedding Website of Isabelle Rodriguez and Samuel Lein
Our wedding venue is located 40 minutes outside Lisbon and we recommend staying in a small surfing village called Ericeira, which is a 20 minute drive to the venue. There are endless hotels and Airbnb’s to pick from for every budget. In case it’s helpful, we’ve listed a few hotels that were personally recommended to us. These hotels are between a 20-30 minute drive to the venue. I have also included some flight recommendations to Lisbon and transportation to the wedding venue. Feel free to reach out to us if you have questions!

Travel Note

Passport

Probably the most important item on your to-do list is make sure you have an active passport! Please make sure: Your passport does not expire 6 months before or after the trip. If it does, please renew your passport with plenty of time to spare. Passports can take 8-10 weeks to get delivered so make sure you budget that time. You have at least two blank pages for entry stamps.

Flight

Lisbon Airport

The main airport in Lisbon is the Humberto Delgado Airport. It's the largest international airport in the area and will most likely be the most affordable place to fly into. In the linked document, we've outlined a few ways to get into Lisbon, and beyond.

Additional Accommodations

If you decide not to stay at Dolce CampoReal Lisboa or Aethos, there are plenty of other options to choose from. Options near Quinta de Sant' Ana include: 1. Hotel Vila Gale Ericeira 2. Immerso 3. You and the Sea 4. Vinnus Guest House If you prefer to stay in Lisbon, we recommend looking for accommodations in Alfama, Bairro Alto, Baixa, or Chiado, which are all centrally located neighborhoods.

Getting to Ericeira

There are no trains to Ericeira, meaning you will either have to rent a car, take an Uber / taxi, or take a bus. We recommend taking an Uber or taxi from the airport to your hotel. Or, if you will be staying in Portugal for an extended period of time, car rentals are fairly reasonable. A car ride from the Lisbon airport to Ericeira should take about 35 minutes. Buses from Lisbon to Ericeira depart from the Campo Grande bus station every 90 minutes from 8:00am-11:00pm. The easiest way to get to Campo Grande from the airport is by Uber / taxi, which takes about 10 minutes. You can get there by metro, but it does involve a transfer and can take anywhere from 25-45 minutes. At Campo Grande, look for signs that say "Mafrense," which is the name of the company that operates the bus to Ericeira. Tickets to Ericeira cost 7 Euros and are purchased from the bus driver with cash. The bus makes several stops along the way, with the final destination being Ericeira. The bus trip should take about an hour and 15 minutes total. Once in Ericeira, you will need to take an Uber / taxi from the bus station to the hotel.
