Travel Note
Louisville is a great little city for a weekend getaway. The airport is about a 15min drive from downtown. Uber and Lyft are reliable for getting to/from the airport and around town. Parking is generally plentiful citywide if you're looking to rent a car. Looking to book a bourbon tour, either downtown or out on the bourbon trail? Book soon! Tours fill up fast. House Or Rental
If you're looking to book a vacation rental, here are some neighborhoods we'd recommend: Germantown/Schnitzelburg This is our neighborhood. It's close to the venue, and it's a mix of bars, restaurants, and shops tucked alongside residential areas. Goss Ave would be the "main street" of the area, but there are pockets of activity all over. The Highlands The Highlands are right next to Germantown/Schnitzelburg. All sorts of shops and restaurants line Bardstown Road for about 2 miles or so. This is also home to some amazing mansions that are fun to look at, as well as Cherokee Park (Maggie's favorite place to run).
