Will there be a ceremony?

Answer

Nope! This is just an open-house style party. Drop in anytime between 2pm - 6pm.

Is this party indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both! The Merryweather has a cozy dive vibe inside, and large patio outside.

Are kids invited?

Answer

Since this is a private party, the "21+" restriction at the bar has been lifted, and kids are allowed to attend. There are even some pinball machines that kids might find fun to play with. However, the venue is a bar, and if you're opposed to your little ones seeing naughty words on the bathroom walls, you might want to leave them at home with a sitter.

What should I wear?

Answer

Informal, cocktail-casual attire. It'll probably be toasty out, so break out the shorts. We'll be wearing coordinated tiki leisure suits (see photo above).

Will there be food?

Answer

We're planning on serving tacos and sides, with meat and vegetarian options. There won't be a formal sit-down meal, but you'll leave with happy tummies.

Should I buy y'all a wedding gift?

Answer

No! This isn't a wedding, so we don't expect a wedding gift, but if you feel inclined our registry can be found above. And if you already got us a present, please don't get us another one! Our Catholic guilt can't take it.

What's the plan after the party?

Answer

The Merryweather will open up to the public at 6PM. There is no official after party planned so feel free to bar hop, make dinner reservations at one of our great restaurants, or stick around The Merryweather to see which way the breeze blows.

Will you be offended if I can't make it?

Answer

Of course not! We understand that this party is a little unorthodox. We also understand that travel can be time consuming and expensive. So if it's not in cards to come to Louisville for our little luau, fear not! We will party with you when the trade winds align.
