We met volunteering at Atlanta Mission through a program organized by our Church. We immediately hit it off and on the last day of volunteering Isaac asked for my number. A couple of weeks later he asked if I would like to get coffee after church. That coffee turned into a 7 hour date that included lunch and dinner. The conversation was effortless. It's safe to say we were both hooked after that first date and the rest as they say is history.
The Sunday before Christmas we went to church then brunch at a restaurant on the Atlanta Beltline. After brunch we decided to take a walk on the Beltline. He got me to walk onto one of the connecting bridges across from the building where I used to live and where he use to pick me up for dates. He said he had a question to ask me, then he got down on one knee. I was shocked to say the least, but managed to get out Yes! He followed up with another surprise: our friends and family waiting to celebrate with us at a restaurant nearby. I was floored and so grateful to get to celebrate with those we love.
