Flight
Juneau International Airport
Flying to Alaska can seem daunting however Juneau is quite a low-stress and relatively easy place to get to. All flights coming from the continental U.S. will have to fly into Sea-Tac, however from there it is a short 2.5 hour flight. The airport is small (maybe 4 gates?) centrally located in Juneau (~10mins from downtown) and there are often multiple taxis waiting to transport visitors. Alaska Airlines is the major airline flying here (and what we recommend) however in the summer you can find other airlines (e.g., Delta or American Airlines) if that better suits you. There are quite a few airbnb (and vbro) options around Juneau. If you are planning on staying with more than 2 people this might also be a way to cut costs compared to hotels in the area (but also check our room blocks). We are recommending people stay around downtown Juneau or Douglas as it will be the most walkable and closest to the wedding venue (Eaglecrest Ski Resort). Transportation to the venue will be provided via bus at pickup locations in downtown and on Douglas.

We have a room block (using the link) at the Baranof with a discounted rate. This block allows guests to stay from Wednesday June 26th - Monday July 1st. If you wish to stay for a shorter period you can edit the reservation. These discounted rooms will be available until May 16th, then they will be open to general public and not discounted.

Rental Car
Turo
Juneau has a Turo presence (i.e., airbnb for cars) if you are interested in renting a vehicle when in Juneau. This might be important depending on where you stay. For example, if you stay in downtown Juneau, or downtown Douglas it is quite walkable and you have access to all the cruise line tour buses (if you'd like to go see Mendenhall glacier or whale watch). If you end up not staying downtown, a car might be more helpful to get around.
