The sight of our wedding and reception is also one of the best fresh water springs in Florida. Anyone from the state will be quick to let you know that Wakulla Springs is a taste of the "real Florida". Take a boat ride to check out gators, snakes, anhinga birds, and sometimes manatees! You'll have to book the boat rides in advance.
The iconic (to Tallahassee) Ruby Diamond Concert Hall is a beautiful historic building on FSU's campus. Check out the website to see what live music or theatre shows are taking place. Whether it's a symphonic band or orchestra concert by FSU's top-ranked music school, tunes by world class musicians, or an opera- the art scene in Tallahassee has yet to disappoint.
Looking to take in some holiday lights early? Dorothy B. Oven Park is a staple for Tallahassee natives to take in the lights every year. Working from August to late-November, the park staff work to make the park nothing less than extraordinary. During the day take a lovely stroll and look for some of a the best camellia flowers in the state- a delicate, southern flower that displays it's full beauty in the winter.
Railroad Square is a growing area near FSU, though you'll definitely see more than just college students hanging out there. The Tallahassee Rock Gym has become a popular hub for exercise and the locally owned restaurants and bars are a great place to hang out. Our recommendation is Gaines Street Pies, a pizza place connected to War Horse, a Whiskey bar.
