Monterey Hotels

There is no denying that Carmel is unfortunately pricey. Luckily, Monterey is next door, also very charming, and should have a wider price range for hotels. Carmel and Monterey are equally close to the venue. Shuttle service provided from both (see below)

House Or Rental

AirBnB

AirBnB (linked below) and Vrbo offer a great selection of rentals and are often a better deal than hotels, especially for groups that want to stay together.

Flight

SFO, SJC, OAK

Those coming by plane have their choice of the above three major Bay Area airports. SJC in San Jose is the closest at 1h 15m - 1h 30m drive to Carmel/Monterey area. SFO and OAK are about 1h 40m - 2h drive. Traffic may affect the above estimates.

Rental Car

Don't wait to book!

As a result of the pandemic, rental car companies are apparently short on cars. If you need one, please book it ASAP along with your flight and hotel so you don't end up stuck with a super expensive rental (or none at all)!

Shuttle

Getting to and from the venue

You may opt to drive, Lyft/Uber, or take the shuttle to and from the venue. Shuttle to the venue: Monterey: 2:15pm Monterey Conference Center 1 Portola Plaza Monterey, CA 93940 (Just off of Del Monte Ave. Pickup by the flagpoles in the parking lot) From Carmel: 2:40pm Carmel Plaza (Bus Parking Area) Junipero Street & Ocean Avenue (on Junipero) Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA 93921 Get there early so you don't miss the bus! We will also provide shuttles back to Carmel and Monterey (dropping off at the same locations) at the following times: 9pm 11:30pm 12:30am

Travel Note

Lyft and Uber

Lyft and Uber are widely available in downtown Carmel and Monterey and are also an option for getting to and from the venue if you prefer not to take the shuttle. That said, be aware that availability for Lyfts and Ubers for the ride home later at night may be extremely sparse due to the location of the venue and the large number of area weddings that weekend.

Venue parking

Parking is plentiful at the venue and you are welcome to leave your vehicle there overnight if you wish. Please don't drink and drive! You must pick your vehicle up by the end of our Sunday brunch event the next day (before 2pm).
