Question

WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

Answer

For optimal enjoyment of the entire weekend of activities without the hassle of commuting, we highly recommend staying at Devil's Thumb Ranch. However, if you decide not to stay on the ranch, the nearest hotel option is the Holiday Inn. Additionally, there are multiple accommodations available in the Winter Park vicinity.

Question

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET TO DEVIL'S THUMB RANCH?

Answer

The best way to get to Devil's Thumb Ranch from Denver Airport is by car - because of this we suggest carpooling in larger groups if possible. It takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to drive from Denver International Airport to Devil's Thumb Ranch.

Question

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR IN THE MOUNTAINS?

Answer

Although we are optimistic about the weather, it's important to note that mountain weather in May can be unpredictable. It is advisable to be ready for various weather conditions, including sunny skies, snowfall, rain, and even hail. We highly recommend bringing items such as puffy jackets, hats, gloves, raincoats, and umbrellas to ensure you are well-prepared.

Question

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

Weather permitting, we hope to hold the ceremony outdoors, predominantly on grass, while the reception will take place indoors. Kindly select appropriate footwear accordingly.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I ANTICIPATE AS SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER VISITED THE MOUNTAINS BEFORE?

Answer

We are going to be at 8,400ft elevation so expect the air to feel a lot thinner, especially if you are coming from sea level. I would highly recommend hydrating up to a week prior to traveling. Oxygen will also be available for purchase at Devil's Thumb Ranch, should you need it.
