Question

What Airport Do I Fly Into?

Answer

Either Denver or Colorado Springs! Denver Airport is about an hour from the recommended accommodations. Colorado Springs Airport is about 30 minutes from recommended accommodations.

Question

I’m Flying into Denver, How Do I Get to the Springs?

Answer

You can rent a car, but we recommend the shuttle. You can book the shuttle from Denver Airport to your accommodations through the link on the Travel tab. The shuttle is shared but extremely comfortable, include wifi, super friendly drivers, and accommodating to all accessibility needs.

Question

What Should I Do to Avoid Altitude Sickness?

Answer

We are about a mile higher in altitude than most guests are used to. Drink lots of water! Rest if you aren't feeling well. Even if you are in the best shape, it can take a day or two to acclimate to altitude.

Question

What is the Average Weather in Colorado Springs/Palmer Lake?

Answer

Colorado weather can be a little unpredictable. We are known for our 300 days of sunshine, but we do get the occasional afternoon rain storm. The average weather for our area at the end of September is around 70°F as a high and 45°F as a low. Be sure to check the weather prior to your departures from your home cities and plan attire accordingly.

Question

How Far is Colorado Springs From Palmer Lake?

Answer

We are getting married in Palmer Lake, but we are recommending guests stay in Colorado Springs. These two towns are a little over 10 miles from each other and easy to travel between.

Question

What are the Accessibility Options for the Weekend?

Answer

The recommended hotel accommodations and recommended "Things to Do" options are all accessible. Our venue will have a golf cart on-site to help older guests or those with a disability to get from the parking lot to the ceremony and the ceremony to the reception. The ceremony area has a few stairs and the reception area is accessible.

Question

Why are No Kids or Pets Allowed?

Answer

While we wanted to invite as many people in our lives as we could, we have a guest capacity for our venue. Therefore, we have decided that nobody under the age of 21 will be permitted to attend. This allowed us to maximize the amount of people in our lives that we want to share our special day. Additionally, the venue has a hard no pet policy on the premise. While we love your furry friends, we must adhere to this venue policy.

Question

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Answer

Unfortunately, only the name of the guests on the invitation will be able to attend. Additional guests will not be accommodated due to the strict guest limit we must adhere to.

Question

What Gifts Can We Bring?

Answer

Griffin and Holly have decided that they are not doing a traditional gift registry. We would prefer guests contribute to our honeymoon fund if they would like to provide a gift. Griffin and Holly love to travel and would value a once in a lifetime honeymoon over typical household items.

Question

How Much Time Should I Arrive Before the Ceremony?

Answer

Guests should arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ceremony. This is to park, walk to the venue, and find your seat. If you would like to arrive a little bit before the suggested time, the venue is nestled right next to the mountains which allow for great photo opportunities before or after the ceremony. The fall colors will be a perfect addition to the background! If you are taking the shuttle, please allow extra time to get to the shuttle as many guests will be utilizing this service.

Question

Can I Take Photos During the Ceremony?

Answer

We are doing an "unplugged" ceremony. This means phones will need to be silenced and photos during the ceremony are not permitted. We have hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture the event. We will happily share photos to those that are interested. Photos are permitted any time except the ceremony.

Question

What is POV?

Answer

A unique feature to our special day is we will be using a system called POV. This is distributed through a QR code that will be posted at the venue. Guests can scan the code and will be directed to an online website. From there, you will have an allotted amount of pictures you can take from this webpage. The next day everyone can go online and see the fun reception pictures. Think of it like a disposable camera that gets shared the next day. Don't want to use this feature and take regular picture on your phone? No worries! We know sharing photos can be hard and think this system is a fun way of catching those candid moments. No download required.

Question

What Do I Do After the Reception?

Answer

We are planning an after party for guests to come to. Participation is not required but we would love for those that want to continue celebrating us to join! Due to the city ordinance in Palmer Lake, we have to be out at 9:00pm. But that doesn't mean the party ends there!

For all the days along the way
