FAQs

If you have any other questions than what we have listed here, please reach out to us!
Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00pm so we are asking our guests to arrive between 2:30pm and 2:45pm.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Formal Attire/black tie! We highly recommend women wear mid to long-length dresses and men wear a suit or a tux!

Question

Is there parking at the church?

Answer

While there is a small parking lot, we ask that it be reserved for family members and the wedding party. Luckily, the city of Raleigh has free parking all around the church for you to find a spot! Ubers/Lyfts are also recommended.

Question

Is there parking at The Distillery?

Answer

The Distillery is located in downtown Garner which offers ample free parking. If driving, please park along Main Street. Uber/Lyft is also readily available and recommended.

Question

Is photography permitted during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the Nuptial Mass to observe the reverence of the sacrament. We have hired an incredible photographer to capture our day and would prefer our guests to be fully present during the ceremony!

Question

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

Of course! While no childcare will be provided, children are more than welcome! Feel free to bring play clothes if needed.

Question

I have never been to a Catholic wedding! What should I expect?

Answer

Our Catholic wedding ceremony will be a celebration of love and faith. It is the most important part of our day and we are thrilled to have you be a part of it! You can expect a traditional ceremony featuring prayers, scripture readings, communion, and the exchange of vows. In the Catholic faith, communion is a significant part of our worship, but it's reserved for those who are baptized Catholics and in a state of grace. While you may not be able to receive communion during the ceremony, you are more than welcome to come up and receive a blessing! I truly appreciate your respect for our traditions, your presence means the world to us!

Question

Where do I park for the Welcome Event?

Answer

We recommend dropping the ladies off at the bottom of the circle and then looping around to park on Castalia Drive with the traffic going up the hill! The Weatherstone pool parking lot is open to park in after 8:30 pm and is located right across from the cul-de-sac where the event will be held.
