The Gals and Pals

Cory Haynes

Best Man

The Childhood Best Friend This guy, where to even start. We have been through it all. Whether it was fighting like an old married couple when we were young or the drunken escapades that we found ourselves in. One of the best memories that comes to mind, is how during our early high school years when "parkour" was a thing. As pre-teen boys naturally this piqued our interest. We thought it would be a good idea if we climbed up on the roof (that we somehow had access to) and jump off onto the ground using our newly acquired parkour skills from YouTube videos. The best part of this memory was when my grandmother called my mother - who had no idea what was going on - freaking out because we were on my mothers roof. Needless to say we were no longer allowed to jump off the roof anymore. I could go on and on about the stupid things that Cory and I have done but I’ll leave you with this note. Ask Cory about his nipple.

April Golon

Matron of Honor

The Childhood Best Friend and Therapist There are too many memories that could be shared of April and I, so I'll go with one of the firsts. You see, April did not get along with her one younger cousin and I knew this about their relationship. So when celebrating April's birthday at her aunts and playing a game, my little bratty self decided to kick the ball out from underneath said younger cousin. Let's just say the younger cousin did not like this. If you ask April, this was when she says she knew we would be best friends forever. And here we are! Now of course we both have grown and matured since that story and went through all the awkward stages of life today, but even today I'd still kick the ball out from under said younger cousin just for her.

Dominick Higgins

Groomsman

The Future Brother-in-Law To be honest, in the beginning Dom and his group of friends always scared me. As I got to know Dom I soon found out that he is someone you want on your side. Dom has taught me so much over the years but one of the memories that I will always remember is the day when I asked for Dom’s permission to marry my beautiful soon to be wife. I had brought over the ring and asked him for his permission to marry Mackenzie and the response I got back was, “are you sure you want to deal with her torture for the rest of your life?” He also mentioned how I know that there is a reason his nickname for her is godzilla. Nonetheless, Dom is a great guy and I am glad to soon have him as part of my family.

Brittany Higgins

Matron of Honor

The First Sister-in-Law and Built-in-Best-Friend Brittany is someone that not only is the perfect person for my at times very difficult brother, but is also someone that I needed as a sister. She is caring in more ways than one and has always treated me like family even though I'm sure I'm the "annoying little sister" at times. I will always cherish our long talks with Mom at the kitchen table (with wine) and all of our bonfire nights talking and drinking about anything that comes to mind. You made me an aunt and have allowed me to be part of River's life that I am so grateful for. Brittany is someone that I am proud to say is my sister-in-law and someone that I know will always support me in life decisions. I can not wait to have family vacations and make the best of everything.

Christopher Snyder

Groomsman

The Little brother Hey dude. I just want to start by thanking you for taking the time away from your computer screen to come to the wedding. I know that being my brother isn’t always the easiest thing to do but it makes for good times to reflect on. Like at your high school graduation…. I know you know what I’m talking about but people who don’t should feel free to ask you what happened from your perspective. I also think I would be lying if I said I remember the whole night. You’ve grown into quit the man from being the blonde, pigeon-toed little brother who used to annoy me, to now one of my groomsmen.

Samantha Snyder

Bridesmaid

Newest Sister-in-Law and Groom's Little Sister I've known Samantha for almost half of her life (that's scary to think about) and can easily say she has become one of the most beautiful people I know. There was a time when we would have "sleep overs" in Nicholas's bedroom with her and at first I was annoyed by this. Looking back these are some of the best memories I have. I hope our annual family trips to Maine continue and we grow closer over the years through life experiences. Thank you for letting me love your brother and excepting me as your sister.

Madison Wellman

Groomsman

The Childhood Best Friend From our long nights playing Call of Duty to playing basketball with Coach Mom to our drunken adventures, you’ve been with me through all of them. Madison is that friend that if you ever need someone to listen and share some beers with, he will be there. A memory that is worthy of sharing is one from Mackenzie's graduation party and all of us playing thunder stuck. For those of you who do not know what that is, just ask Madison. This game led to all of us possibly regretting our decisions and Madison making Mac n' Cheese for us. Madison, you have been with me through thick and thin and I know that you will continue to be there with Mackenzie and I. Hopefully soon you will be called Uncle Maddy.

Aidyanne Torres

Bridesmaid

The Work Bestie and Confidant Aidyanne was the new nurse on the unit and we knew pretty soon we were going to be friends (or like we say: soul sisters). We both have the same work ethic, loud voice, drive to continue our education, thoughts of life... our significant others even have the same name *wait are we talking about your Nick or my Nick*. I am so grateful for our friendship and us being able to become so close over the years. I can not wait for our lunch dates to turn into play dates and for us both to grow as individuals.

Stephen Salisbury

Groomsman

The Childhood Best Friend and Singer of "Free Falling" I know you have kids so I’m surprised that you were able to get the time off to be at the wedding. Stephen is a professional mail sorter so if you see him dozing off at the wedding that’s a sign to wake him up and get him another drink. Don’t let the beard fool you, he’s a mixed drink kind of guy. Stephen and I have been close since the 1st grade and have multiple memories together. A memory that we share is of Stephen, Jon and I locking the car windows, turning on the heat during the summer, and seeing who could last the longest in the car. This is just one of the stupid things we did. Don't forget to quiz Stephen on some zip codes, I'm sure he will know them.

Chelsea O'Neil

Bridesmaid

The Other Work Bestie and Bookclub Member For someone who can be so quiet, once you get to know her she has a lot to say! Chelsea and I have worked on the same unit for about 4 years now and we both have no idea what we were doing at times. We some how figure it out together. Once we became comfortable with one another, we figured out that we both read and watch the same genre of books, movies, and TV shows. Even though our text messages mainly are TikTok's for conversations, our lunch dates last for hours. I am grateful for you always allowing for me to talk openly and not feel judged for the indecent things that come out of my mouth - especially because most of the times you're already thinking them.

Jonathan Henzler

Groomsman

The childhood best friend Jon will never cease to amaze me with how good he is at randomly showing up unannounced. Whether I would come home and he would be on my couch or he would randomly be knocking on my door at 2 in the morning after driving cross country straight to get home. Jon is a friend that we can go a long time without talking but then when I finally answer the phone we will talk for hours. Well, we will talk as long as we can before his phone dies because he still has the same iphone that he had in high school. Also, I, to this day think that Jon and I created the worst drinking game known to man. We always called it the Yes Man drinking game. If you have some time asking him about it. Jon thank you for being there for me through all these years, I’m sorry I never get any of your movie references.

Fallon Hiort

Bridesmaid

Nursing School Bestie and Support Person For those of you who do not know about Fallon's and my relationship, let me just say: we both survived nursing school together. Although she hated studying with me because I am the least concentrated person *SQUIRREL*, she still did before every exam and final. She was one of my biggest supporters through nursing school and when I experienced the first loss of a patient, I called her because I knew she would get me to stop ugly crying. Don't worry, I'll spare you the details. Thank you for always being that person that I could tell my disgusting nursing stories to and also for developing my love for tequila and wine.

Jonathan Golon

Groomsman

Friend and Beer Connoisseur I know that the wedding will be during football season but we planned it on a Saturday so you won’t miss the Giants lose while you're at our wedding. I’m glad that we have created the bond that we have the last few years. You have grown to be one of my closest friends. Whether it is testing beers that you make, golfing, or taking random trips with you, April, Mackenzie, and the monkey. The trips are fun but maybe we will skip the singing on the next one… Jon is quite the brew master and if our venue didn’t have a brewer attached you would have been working hard to provide beer for all the guests. If you are into beer, Jon is the man to talk to. Also, if you have a problem with the New York State roads, Jon is the man to complain to.

Gabrielle Lounsbury

Bridesmaid

The Other Other Work Bestie and DIY Queen Gabby is someone that I know I can ask questions and get an honest answer. She gives me a different outlook on a situation and is able to bring perspective to the situation, even though I sometimes want to be my dramatic-self. She is someone who is supportive and gives you her undivided attention when you need it. Did I mention she is a DIY guru? If you have any questions about your projects or need a unique gift, she can definitely help you! I am so grateful for our friendship and support through some difficulties time. I can not wait to support you on your special day and any other life events! Did I mention her fiancé's name is also Nick? The friendship is just meant to be.

Justin Margolies

Groomsman

The College Best Friend From long nights studying in the library to sitting on the couch at the apartment in Syracuse, Justin and I have been through alot in the 8 years we have known each other. It started at Cortland where it felt that we were pulling each other through college. We oftentimes needed to force each other to study for exams we didn’t want to take or help each other with homework. After Cortland we decided to not only live together but to work together as well… so you could say we were always together. Living together for 2 years we learned how someone from the country could live with someone from “The Island” *insert Long Islanders accent here*. In the past three years we may not have been attached at the hip, we have remained close and supported one another in life events. Thank you for being one of my groomsmen, I can not wait to be there for you on your wedding day.

River Higgins & Hailey Golon

Flower Girl

River and Hailey are both two important children in our life. River and Hailey made Nick and I an aunt and uncle and allowed for us to make memories we will never forget. For anyone that knows Miss River, you know she wants to wear the dresses with a good twirl and show you her pretty nails. Miss Hailey is a wild child with stank faces and loves to eat anything, including octopus surprisingly. They are both perfectly perfect in their own unique ways and we are both so excited to be apart of their lives.
