Walk or bike across this iconic bridge. You can see downtown Minneapolis, mill ruins, and Saint Anthony Falls on the Mississippi River. Father Hennepin Park, the Mill City Museum, and the Guthrie Theater are located nearby.
Check out this architectural gem located in downtown Minneapolis, near the Stone Arch Bridge and Mill City Museum. You don't need theater tickets to check out the building. Once inside, you can take the escalators to the endless bridge and see panoramic views of the Mississippi River. You can also take the elevators up to the Amber Box for almost 360 degree views of the area.
The Walker Art Center Sculpture Garden is free. If you go, the iconic Spoon & Cherry is a must see! Even kids will enjoy running around and seeing the larger than life sculptures. The Walker Art Museum, a modern art museum, is located nearby.
We love going for walks and runs along all or any of these lakes - Bde Maka Ska, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Harriet (It's about 11 miles all the way around). There are beautiful homes along the paths.
This free art museum with many exhibits is great for a quiet outing. (If you're ever in Minneapolis in the Spring, we highly recommend seeing Art in Bloom!)
The 58th Annual Uptown Art Fair is taking place on Friday August 4th through Sunday August 6th. This is a fun fair to attend, walk, browse , and perhaps purchase some art in a great location!

Interstate State Park is one of Jonathan and Hennah's favorite parks! This park offers stunning views of the Midwest landscape. We recommend parking on the Minnesota side to check out the glacial potholes. After that, view Taylors Falls on the St. Croix River, then walk across the bridge to Wisconsin for hiking.
We recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Their blueberry corn pancakes are out of this world! They also have great salads, sandwiches, and drinks.
