We met through mutual friends. We both played on the same volleyball and kickball teams, and also ran with the same friend. A lot of small talk eventually led to exchanging phone numbers and things moved quickly from there. On our first date, we were having such a great time and we looked up to see that the restaurant had closed!

Jonathan decided he wanted to propose on our 4 year anniversary. He was hoping to propose after dining at the restaurant we went to for our first date, but since covid cases were high, the restaurant was only allowing carryout orders and refused to allow him to have us dine inside. We had decided to go downhill skiing for our 4 year anniversary. Jonathan decided he would try falling in front of me while skiing and then propose. That didn't work out. After skiing all day, Jonathan insisted on going hiking at a nearby park. I was confused as we had been skiing all day. We hiked for a little bit, and he proposed in the snowy woods. I said yes!
